I've always said "eh-guh bam-ya-see" and never considered this might be wrong.

Yeah, I've always said it like it's egé (eh-gay). But it appears that I'm wrong!

by the way, is Soon Over Babaluma as boring as it seemed when I played it twice this morning?

No. There is one boring track on it, but then there's one boring track on every Can album (except "Monster Movie")

Tago Mago is named after an island in the Balearics which is pronounced tah-go mah-go

That's one of the stories they give, the other is that it's the name of a magician. I always thought it was just a rip-off of "Ummagumma" (see also "Hallogallo" by Neu!)

Doesn't Tago Mago the place have some connection with Aleister Crowley? Hence the magician reference.

Ah! Could be!

And Future Days. I've listened to it about 50 times--haven't been bored for a second.

... wish I could say the same

I dug up my LP of "Tago Mago" yesterday. The one with the live shot and the 'envelope' opening at the back.

sigh.
