xp - agree! & will add that, if you faceplanted onto rocks & are walking away from it w/ a black eye & a few scrapes, that's p much toward the "best case scenario" end of that range of possible injuries.

yeah it could have been a lot worse! will definitely wear a full face helmet if i ride those kind of trails again though. (read all about it on your daily bicycle log )

those shoes are the "nice" ones in the nice/sneakers/boots trinity that is my entire shoe collection so that is good to hear.

woman with the pdx shirt seems to have some kind of broom so i think she is staff. portland staff. the shades i bought on my housemate dan's recommendation after being like come on dan these are absurd, and then i got compliments from strangers all day, so i guess dan is to be trusted.
