Cool.

yeah that's another good one! i think NYC stuff can still be cool, but all three of those mentioned are going at it right, like a real dusted, fucked up vibe instead of pretending that NYC is still on top, all these losers trying to be jay or 50 when that's over

it seems like it should be more freeing for ppl, like just do what you want

i might be exagerrating a bit, but yeah for some reason 2011 i just haven't been listening to much hip hop

om nom nom nnamdi asomugha (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 10 August 2011 23:10 (twelve years ago) link

I kind of feel like the new G Rap fits that mold, although a little less "dusted."

Yeah, P & Roc & AG are just making dope regional rap, when that's really what NY rappers should be doing right now.

some dude, Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:00 (twelve years ago) link

that joke would've worked better had bin laden not been killed just four months ago

J0rdan S., Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:08 (twelve years ago) link

some dude is really bringing the dad jokes today haha

tine nic (k3vin k.), Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:10 (twelve years ago) link

and yeah i'm really feeling asap rocky's whole vibe too

sidenote - so what's the deal w/ eastsidestevie, he's been running with this dude since back then? i don't/haven't followed either closely i just kinda assumed up til now that he was kinda taking the whole noz/lil b propaganda to the next level or something

tine nic (k3vin k.), Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:12 (twelve years ago) link

i'm not sure exactly what the deal is, tho i'm willing to bet that noz doesn't have a lil b tattoo

J0rdan S., Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:15 (twelve years ago) link

he's awkward as hell in that video, lol

tine nic (k3vin k.), Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:15 (twelve years ago) link

tine nic (k3vin k.), Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:17 (twelve years ago) link

tine nic (k3vin k.), Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:17 (twelve years ago) link

love those throwback circle eyeglasses tho -- rappers would look so much cooler wearing those instead of dopey hispter glasses

J0rdan S., Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:19 (twelve years ago) link

what's is the sample in the pesos chorus?

also who is producing this stuff

J0rdan S., Thursday, 11 August 2011 03:32 (twelve years ago) link

is that off his new album? it's funny, i hear more ace hood on the radio than prob anyone here but it took me at least 5 minutes to put together that "body 2 body" was his song -- dude sounds like a totally different person

J0rdan S., Thursday, 11 August 2011 06:13 (twelve years ago) link

yeah, new album.

everyone on that remix sounds like a different person.

i like this joint off the new record too

most of ASAP's stuff so far seems to have been produced by a guy called Ty Radio, although he's worked with Clams Casino and is working with SpaceghostPurrp and people from Green Ova.

Number None, Thursday, 11 August 2011 11:36 (twelve years ago) link

ace hood seems to be getting a lot of attention nationally idk why its happening now -- average rapper vacuum?
