But there's still the original mystery, I guess...

Hair clip. Ready for dancing later, but came with hair "done" to impress Wayne's roomate.

king of prussia isn't that hilly -- i doubt that wendy's is there.

My theory: It's the room in the apartment where the video games live (def. not a dorm, because a dorm wouldn't have a duct-taped AC, because of insurance and stuff). Athlete-girl's boyfriend lives there, which is why she's more comfortable, and he's currently out of the shot playing video games with another out-of-shot person. Limited seating means non-players have to sit on the bed. Note that Hooters-guy could very easily be looking at the TV, not at the girls. The girls have no interest in the game, and are anxious for it to end so they can smoke another bowl and go on to the party in some other apartment's basement.

I had to de-lurk for this, because it brought back the college memories.

What's that on Krissy's wrist?

A bracelet, obviously.

Oh, come Tuomas, you thought the guy hosting the pic was the original guy's dad. You are kicked off the case.

Yeah Ally, I forget every once in a while, but I do maintain that Tuomas left ILX a few months ago and that "lixnixn" is a parody-Tuomas.

!!!

It all makes sense!

...where are you getting all this info, jw?

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 19:55 (eighteen years ago) link

So, let's see:

It was raining outside. Chix are not the residents here, and Wayne may or may not be. He appears to be watching the television. Taken in college setting, but prolly not in a dorm - a shared apartment in a college town.

A new one - since neither Wayne nor Kelly are paying attention to the camera, but Krissy is, it tells me she was there to see someone behind the camera - either taking or actually just not in range of the shot. Either way, it appears no "Say Cheese!" was uttered. Or Wayne and Kelly already smoked a bowl.

a shared apartment in a college town.
If it's an apartment, why aren't they in the living room? (Don't answer that.) I'm inclined to say it's Mom's house or older cousin's house.

Dave will do (dave225.3), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 20:01 (eighteen years ago) link

garage apartment or effiency

Yeah, Sam and Theresa appear to be right: those are black shoes. I also don't think it was raining, or else the wetness would be dispersed over a larger area. A puddle is possible, though.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 20:03 (eighteen years ago) link

Because the games are in Wayne's room? Because maybe there are roommates who have already taken over the living room for the night?

If the grey thing on the right is an oversized television set (completely plausible), what are those white flaps that make the right border of the picture look like a file tab?

No one is addressing the pink bow on the dresser. Whose is it? It sort of looks like a gift bow.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 20:06 (eighteen years ago) link

that's not a bow, it's speaker wire!

so he has a playstation too right? that's a GTA case there on the shelf above the dvd player?

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 20:09 (eighteen years ago) link

I don't think that's a pink bow. It looks more like a loop of copper speaker wire. See? It goes from the back of one of the dresser top speakers.

Yes, so that's FOUR video game systems in one room.

If I were able to step into this picture, I bet I could find weed in like..15 seconds.

I think nory's right that games are being played off-camera. Bottom-left corner contains knee and arm of Player 1.

Camera holder = Player 2
