He is so underrated I think. I only have a few things but they always make me check to see what is playing.

This new album has vocals from Carl Finlow (Random Factor/Silicone Scally etc) who has steadily proven to be one of electronic musics best producers. His vocal style is not great or unique but something about it touches me in the right places. It's either robotic babble (see Definition on Electrilogy) or touching lyics like on Alone With You on the new Tejada album. For fans of Tejada, check out this Vocal and Dub mixes of Random Factor's Convergence on 20:20 Vision.

ordered this today... excited about it. i'm getting back into playing records out so i'm trying to figure out what still sounds good and what will sound good a while down the road.

Just thought I'd mention that I love his Fabric mix. Hard, bleepy, some old stuff (WAX, Orbital). A little bit dissonant, noisy, unusually exciting - especially the Palette tracks, which was news to me.

yeah .. it's my fave fabric mix of recent times.
this meant i tracked down his new album, Where, on Palette that's more of the same, standout track, Desire, featuring Nicolette (twitching bleeps and her vocals = brilliance)

Tejada really has become this perfectly consistent person all this time, it's like you can't fail with him no matter what you're listening to (he says, listening to Parabolas right about now).

Any love for his I'm Not a Gun side project with Takeshi Nishimoto? They've hovered on my radar for a while, but I got the CD of Solace this week and am really enjoying the blend of Durutti-esque guitar work and JT's rolling drums. It sounds especially good when walking through the city in the early morning.

I ended up with that Lucid Dream album that was collected tracks from 1995 after getting it as part of a gift for donating to... dublab, maybe? some years ago. Been listening to it lately

mh, Saturday, 24 February 2018 21:51 (six years ago) link

not heard that, but then he has a madly deep catalogue.
i once got a message from john via my myspace page.
f*ck i am old.
oh, and i can easily see the new album getting a lot more traction if it had the word BICEP on it.
