I'm going to somerset, next month.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 12:28 (eighteen years ago) link

And I'm a Scottish tart.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 12:42 (eighteen years ago) link

You wish.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:00 (eighteen years ago) link

Sigh.

There is that Joy Division tribute night tonight, which I'd completely forgotten about, but which Glasgow should be going to since we'll lose money if it doesn't.

It's at The Queens Club, on Queen St, from 9pm onwards.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:25 (eighteen years ago) link

Does no-one want to go for a pint with me tomorrow then?

*cries*

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:27 (eighteen years ago) link

No. We hate you.

Actually it may be possible, only I had planned to perhaps do some shopping and then some washing and then nothing much. I will see how things go. Come out tonight!

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:32 (eighteen years ago) link

What Joy Division tribute night? There is one on 6 Music, but it's a tribute day.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:37 (eighteen years ago) link

You don't have to meet me until after 8 when the mister goes to the pictures. Plenty of time to shop and wash and stuff. I might just go home though, so don't worry.

Tonight I have to go win lots of beer vouchers in the pub quiz so I can celebrate/drown sorrows on Sunday. Also, I don't want to listen to Joy Division all night. Sorry.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:39 (eighteen years ago) link

It is Gav's thing, I dunno. It's the 25th anniversary of Curtis' death. Some bands will be playing JD covers, I think. I'm scared no one will be there.

Oh, I'd go with him if it was that. Sadly it will be that Star Wars episode 3/6/who-the-fuck-cares thingymajig that is quite popular with and important to some folks who aren't me.

erm, xpost. Though even that looks better than Star Wars

One day, everything will be in Galvision.

And I will sit playing with myself.

There's no way Jimmy Webb looks 58.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:58 (eighteen years ago) link

Wait, he does. That was just a rogue photo in Saturday's Herald.

None of you Weegie bastards want to meet me for a drink. I hate you all back.

(I can't check ILX at work so people will have to text me tomorrow if anyone does want a drink as I'm going out straight from work)

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:46 (eighteen years ago) link

Blatant stirring yesterday with that "it's okay to call them Pakis and Chinkies" letter. Goodness knows how that got past the editor...

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:55 (eighteen years ago) link

Colin, you should go!

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:08 (eighteen years ago) link

i must say i'm tempted!

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:12 (eighteen years ago) link

You could go on my shoulders, in a long coat, like in The Broons.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:29 (eighteen years ago) link

How tall is tall? Does one have to be able to dust the Counting House's ceiling?

scotstvo (scotstvo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:40 (eighteen years ago) link

Didn't tiny boys on sticks used to be employed for that task?

i stopped by after work, but everyone was sitting, so i couldn't tell if they were tall! damn...
yes, i am responsible for inciting racial and religious spats. and some other stuff i won't mention. but not for tomorrow's page. i was too busy writing about brats being bribed to eat healthy. with ipods! lucky dolts.

dahlin (dahlin), Thursday, 19 May 2005 21:48 (eighteen years ago) link

heathily, surely.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 19 May 2005 23:11 (eighteen years ago) link

Are ipods strictly edible?

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 23:37 (eighteen years ago) link

it's a strict diet.

Does Glasgow (or any subset thereof) want to go and see Roddy Frame + Trash Can Sinatras with me on 10th June? I am hoping it will not sell out before I get paid next week.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 22 May 2005 10:40 (eighteen years ago) link

I would have liked to, but I am still on holiday.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 22 May 2005 10:41 (eighteen years ago) link

10th June is my birthday and I have to go to someone else's sodding birthday party and watch them get lots of presents and cake :-(

Onimo (GerryNemo), Sunday, 22 May 2005 11:24 (eighteen years ago) link

I was going to work, madchen.

Half of Glasgow is blue, today. The other half is blue.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 22 May 2005 16:21 (eighteen years ago) link

As I already said in a text message, Ally C, I love you, I respect you, but really, fuxor off already (or something).

Also, Madchen, I hope you got my answering machine message, and I hope Glasgow (1) had fun and (2) voted for Moldova.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 22 May 2005 19:47 (eighteen years ago) link

madness.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 22 May 2005 19:58 (eighteen years ago) link

oops

I just remembered ned etc.

ned, it turns out that ally and I (etc.) may have been turned out, of our flat, by the beginning of july. it's the law.

hopefully, we will have moved into a new flat, by then, too, but nothing is set in stone, unfortunately.

so, well, I guess, it SHOULD be OK but, I suppose, if it ISN'T, we could, probably, point you in the direction of an inexpensive guesthouse. here's hoping, though, & I hope there is, too.

: )

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 04:19 (eighteen years ago) link

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 23 May 2005 07:23 (eighteen years ago) link
