Seinfeld apartment sketch was great. Charlie Day is the way, the truth and the light imo.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 6 November 2011 05:06 (twelve years ago) link

this was by far the best ep this season

johnny crunch, Sunday, 6 November 2011 05:09 (twelve years ago) link

Great show, Charlie is pretty natural at sketch comedy. Was it just my TV or did the crowd seem twice as loud as the actors?

Michael F Gill, Sunday, 6 November 2011 05:20 (twelve years ago) link

Adam "Hawk Attack" Levine!

oh god this has been terrible so far. Emma Stone ;_;

encarta it (Gukbe), Sunday, 13 November 2011 05:02 (twelve years ago) link

At least we had Chris Martin's dancing to laugh at.

lindseykai, Sunday, 13 November 2011 05:53 (twelve years ago) link

I get the impression that whenever they pull out the recurring sketches, they're out of ideas. Stone was great in the Bridal Shower sketch, but it wasn't good. Adele one barely written but kind of amusing.

encarta it (Gukbe), Sunday, 13 November 2011 05:55 (twelve years ago) link

oh man technology hump?

encarta it (Gukbe), Sunday, 13 November 2011 05:58 (twelve years ago) link

I was cracking the fuck up at the Call of Duty: Black Ops commercial but then I realized it was an actual commercial and not a sketch

hader as perry deserves to be the breakout parody of this election imo

J0rdan S., Monday, 14 November 2011 05:12 (twelve years ago) link

can someone explain to me why wiig does michelle bachmann w/ this weird, like, squint eyed face? her whole thing is like staring wide eyed at the camera like a lunatic

J0rdan S., Monday, 14 November 2011 05:13 (twelve years ago) link

I have wondered about that too.

Bon Ivoj (jaymc), Monday, 14 November 2011 05:13 (twelve years ago) link

so people don't confuse it with her Nancy Pelosi? Usually when she does Bachmann she squints then does the wide eyed thing.

And many of you are crazy. Charlie episode was pretty band IMHO, whereas this episode, despite being almost completely recurring characters, I thought was pretty funny.

dan selzer, Monday, 14 November 2011 05:19 (twelve years ago) link

kinda loving this digital short

J0rdan S., Monday, 14 November 2011 05:27 (twelve years ago) link

sudeikis' barely being able to contain his glee about delivering that punchline about time warner cable was aweosme

shawty redmayne (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 20 November 2011 05:46 (twelve years ago) link

admirably kept the Andre The Giant sketch short

encarta it (Gukbe), Sunday, 20 November 2011 05:47 (twelve years ago) link

First half hour was one of the most solid openings in years. But the new Muppet voices are distracting. If I'd had my eyes closed, no way would I have guessed that was supposed to be Scooter.

one month passes...

maybe this is the better thread to update. wish they'd retire target girl.

Mordy, Sunday, 15 January 2012 04:51 (twelve years ago) link

but target lady is the least worst! worst recurring Kristen Wiig character on SNL

occupy mobb deep (some dude), Sunday, 15 January 2012 05:02 (twelve years ago) link

I <3 Target Lady.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 15 January 2012 05:12 (twelve years ago) link

did u see her tonight? i couldn't even figure out if there were jokes. it seemed like they had some space in the show they had to kill so they told wiig to improvise with her Target character for five laughless minutes

Mordy, Sunday, 15 January 2012 05:14 (twelve years ago) link

yeah no it's totally past its expiration date, i didn't even have the sound up enough during that sketch to tell what was going on for most of it. they should pick a Wiig character to forcibly retire every few months.

occupy mobb deep (some dude), Sunday, 15 January 2012 05:16 (twelve years ago) link

FIVE SECOND RAOUL

that's gonna end up being one of the greatest trolls of the year -- props to the snl booking ppl

tyga mother (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 15 January 2012 15:32 (twelve years ago) link

Wait, I remember now, Karmin is one of those Pomplamouse rap-covering indie duos!

Mayne ... Or Astro-Mayne? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Sunday, 15 January 2012 15:34 (twelve years ago) link

The only time I saw them outside the P-mouse thread was I was installing some kind of music app I think, can't remember what, and they were the Featured Artist.

Mayne ... Or Astro-Mayne? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Sunday, 15 January 2012 15:35 (twelve years ago) link

they were introduced a few posts above this

karmin help put pomplamoose in perspective, cuz they're just plain bad. awkward, devoid of charm, unpleasant sounding. helps you realize that the moose are at least good at what they do, perhaps very good. which makes it harder to hate them, which only makes me hate them all the more, and god please just make it stop

― orchestral pygnoeuvres in zee park (contenderizer), Friday, June 3, 2011 6:16 PM (7 months ago)

So who ARE that insufferable indie couple in the new Hyundai TV ads?
