def make getting to/spending time in Dubrovnik a priority and take a day-trip to Korčula.

also you have to order shots of Rakia with every round of drinks.

you kinda cant go wrong

if you stay in dubrovnik for a few days (which you should) i highly recommend day trips to lopud (cool nearby island w/ amazing olafur eliasson installation) and mljet (slightly farther away, unbelievably gorgeous nat'l park, bring a bathing suit)
