goddamn i hate iggles fans

also, the philly CBS news station ran a ten minute story about how vikings fans are pussies because their games weren't selling out.

You hate Iggles fans for pointing out that Vikings fans don't show up to games?

Mordy, Monday, 5 January 2009 04:18 (ten years ago) Permalink

cmon guys let's let eagles fans ride the wave until reid/mcnabb tragically mismanage a key situation.

(tbh a sports year in which both the phillies and eagles experience success is something which most people are just not ready for so i'm planning on being in full denial mode for the foreseeable future.)

I like the Eagles, I appreciate everything they accomplished this season including losing to Washington x2, embarrassing the Cowboys, beating the Football Giants in December, and being another NFC East team playing a horrible game against the Bungles.. and more flying Dawkins. I used to really hate them back in the day but that was because of Buddy Ryan.

I also like Baltimore..

i never really knew that a lot of non-eagles fans liked the eagles. it may have started with the limbaugh situation because duh whose side are you going to take there.

Secure the ball

The Eagles thrive on turnovers and ex-Patriot Asante Samuel holds the NFL postseason TD record for interception returns. Jim Johnson's blitzes are designed to create hurried throws, although that's the one area where Eli Manning has made the most improvement over the last year. The Giants were turnover-free in three of their last four games, with two costly picks against the Cowboys the exception. The Giants haven't lost a fumble since Brandon Jacobs coughed one up in the first Eagles matchup, when two Giant turnovers set up TDs. Brian Dawkins will be looking for strips.

how can a quarterback be so talented and throw so many bad passes? it's a mystery for the ages. in the playoffs he is truly mister near-miss. the acrobatics these guys have to do just to catch the ball is staggering. and, yet, there are other games where he is like a friggin' laser. so weird.

i'm pretty much in the "don't care" boat at this point w/r/t vick - i doubt he'll even play really unless we need him.

¿pr que? (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 August 2009 21:04 (nine years ago) Permalink

I have to imagine Andy Reid knows from people who have done bad things and need forgiveness. So there's probably at least a bit of charity in this signing, since I can't imagine Vick is going to play much (assuming McNabb'ster stays healthy).

Mordy, Friday, 14 August 2009 21:06 (nine years ago) Permalink

they'd be retarded for not figuring out how to get him on the field given the stress and publicity cost of signing him.

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 August 2009 21:07 (nine years ago) Permalink

yeah i never imagined, from a PR perspective, that the iggs would be the team to take him like this, but it's not like they're making him the starter. can't see too much of an uproar over dude holding a clipboard

Why would Chip leave voluntarily? He's got almost complete control of an NFL team and a multi-million dollar salary, plus perks. If he's fired, there will be time enough to sort through his options.
