Is it still possible to access Wikipedia in any way?
Yes. During the blackout, Wikipedia is accessible on mobile devices and smart phones. You can also view Wikipedia normally by disabling JavaScript in your browser, as explained on this Technical FAQ page. Our purpose here isn't to make it completely impossible for people to read Wikipedia, and it's okay for you to circumvent the blackout. We just want to make sure you see our message.

so not too difficult to get around. I don't get why they don't just put a "click here to go to your article" link after their anti-SOPA message.

I was so into Susanna Hoffs as a teenager that it might have killed me to know that at the time.

During the time of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the couple took part of a union and had the unborn child blessed in a Zulu ceremony, which took place in the Illovo suburb of South Africa.[32] Keys and Swizz Beatz held a wedding celebration on the French island of Corsica on July 31, 2010. Fireman Sam lives in a two-story house with several windows, a red door and the small bell at outside. It is at 3 Vale Road and contains seldom seen rooms:

Hall: The hall has a big shelf, a very large hanger, and a big mirror on the wall. The walls are yellow. There are also the stairs, which connect the ground floor with first floor...

(goes on to detail each room in the cartoon series...)

Other ex-boxers have been said to have had dementia pugilistica when in fact they suffer from nothing worse than a working-class accent and a gruff demeanor, e.g. Rocky Graziano, Tony Zale.

Title is a British slang phrase gleaned by Dolenz from television, likely the UK sitcom Til Death Us Do Part; it roughly translates as "lustful fool from Liverpool" (Wiktionary: randy, Scouse, git) (though in fact, to call someone a "git" in Britain is the equivalent of "jerk" or "prat"). In the series the word was aimed by Alf Garnett at his son-in-law, played by *Tony Booth, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's father-in-law.*

They were decades ahead of their time in making their players train to improve not only their footballing skills, but also their stamina and strength - which in the harsh Scottish winters gave them often the edge against their opponents. The mastermind was Peter 'Big Pate' Campbell, who also insisted on his players drinking “chicken bree”, the ingredients believed to be a disgusting combination of port wine mixed in with eggs!

Currently Jentina is keeping a low profile, and raising a family.

Fair use rationale for inclusion in Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell

• Low resolution copy of the album cover.
• Does not limit the value of the text.
• No free alternative available or could be created.
• The cover is critically discussed in the article: Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell#Cover
• Words cannot fully express the complexity and symbolism of the image.

Apparently there's no thread for absurdly over-detailed wiki pages either. That amazing page about toilet paper orientation would be on it. I also like the entries on the different seasons of Top Chef, each with a color-coded chart indicating "contestant progress" and descriptions of every single dish prepared in each round.

i dunno, i expected someone to have put in a LOT of work in that page, some Wyatt-uberfan, while this looks like a lot of 'recent activities' stuff and a copy and paste list from collabs and so on

You'd be surprised how many people still don't get where the content of Wikipedia comes from. One of my friends runs a very good fan site for a famous illustrator he's close to and several people told *him* that the Wikipedia article should link to his site or use some of its material, then he asked someone he knew who works at Wikimedia if they could get it onto the page.

Slutsky's playing career was ended at just 19. He retired due to a knee injury, an injury sustained after falling out of a tree to rescue a neighbour's cat, Fluffy.[1]

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beats_By_the_Pound:

Beats by the Pound were so anonymous that if you Google or Yahoo Image search them, you can barely find a photo of KLC, Mo B. Dick, Craig B, Odell posing together.[citation needed] Master P knew this. The less fame you accrue, the less you have to be paid. So he created the first rap assembly line. Granted, Diddy had his northern men The Hitmen (production team), but The Medicine Men from New Orleans cranked out beats so fast that there was barely time to call Dave Mays to take out ads.[citation needed] I mean, who do you think produced Down South Hustlers: Bouncin' and Swingin', Ice Cream Man, Tru 2 da Game, Ghetto D, West Coast Bad Boyz II, There's One in Every Family, Gangsta Harmony?.[citation needed] Also because of Voodoo & Blacklisting from Master P, The Medicine Men aka Beats By The Pound never got recognize real well after leaving No Limit Records back in 1999!.[citation needed]

Lewis is noted for always wearing an all-black outfit.[10] During his routines, he commonly places his right hand on his forehead, then stretches it outward as he makes his point. He also performs with long pieces of paper with notes on them, refers to the notes, then extemporaneously delivers his material. He has also performed drinking out of a New York Jets mug instead of a plain water bottle.

In 1990, the original line-up wrote and recorded the song "Free" for the soundtrack to the movie Flashback. This would be the final song written with the original lineup, as the band would dissolve shortly after. Interesting note... "Bottom Line" from the first lp was remixed and used as the title track for "Flashback." However this track was not included on the soundtrack. It can be found on the 12" or by possible download.

The city has a local music scene dominated by hip hop, blues, rock and roll, punk, Deathcore. horrorcore, and indie groups.

Jonathan Brandis wore baseball jerseys during the first season, including one for the Florida Marlins that noted they had won the World Series in 2010. The Marlins were an expansion team that played for the first time in 1993, the same year that seaQuest DSV began production. Florida did go on to win the 1997 and 2003 World Series, but the real-life 2010 World Series was eventually won by the San Francisco Giants.

By October 22, 2009 most publications were indicating that a final decision had been reached and, barring a last minute pardon from Governor Paterson, Shyne would be deported back to Belize.[52] Shyne was deported back to Belize on Wednesday October 28, 2009 though he continued to fight for residency in the United States.
He is now living in Jerusalem as an Orthodox Jew under his new name, Moses Levi. He reportedly spends his time learning the Torah and is planning a comeback of biblical proportions .[53][54][55]

Lil Scrappy was performing at a concert in a high school gym in Orlando. During the concert, the crowd were really getting pumped and excited by the music, then the local police stepped in. They gave Scrappy a warning, because he took his shirt off (which made female fans even more aggressive).

from the Hal Sparks wiki:

In 2010 Sparks became a real-life hero when, for the third time in his life, his life-saving CPR skills helped resuscitate an unconscious, elderly man at the Los Angeles International Airport.

Either this is horribly written, or Sparks spends a worrying amount of time hanging out with the elderly at the Los Angeles International Airport.

In "Can The Subaltern Speak", Spivak discusses the race and power dynamics involved in the banning of sati. Spivak writes that all we hear about sati are accounts (by British colonizers or Hindu leaders) of what sati meant to, or how it oppressed, women, but we never hear from the sati-performing women themselves -- thus the subaltern cannot speak.[citation needed] Some critics,[who?] however, say that the sati-performing women cannot speak because they die in the practice of ritual suicide.[citation needed]

I always like scrolling through the articles for each day, like 'March 14', to see famous events, births, deaths. Anyway, it appears that this day back in 1985 was big for giving birth to future female porn stars. These are all the famous birthdays from March 14, 1985:

1985 – Eva Angelina, American pornographic actress
1985 – Idaira, Spanish singer
1985 – Brianna Love, American pornographic actress
1985 – Ariel Rebel, Canadian pornographic actress
