Am.... I.... an.... asshopper?

I have no idea what one is. It was just a silly, childish, thoughtless thing to say to see if I could make RJG smile.

Profuse apologies for any offence called.

I continue to love the pants off you.

Mooro (Mooro), Friday, 19 March 2004 12:03 (twenty years ago) link

chris (chris), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:19 (twenty years ago) link

I went to see 'alphaville' tonight. I can see how and why an architecture course would screen it: its theme being personality's erosion by modernity's unfeeling organisation. I'm not sure it wasn't awful. what is it with french people and this theme: le corbusier, tati, foucault, debord etc. all to some extent handled it. I almost felt like the cinema was smothercating me and exhaled a long 'fucking hell' when the 'FIN' came up.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:53 (twenty years ago) link

OK, it was OK.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:55 (twenty years ago) link

better than that.

I think I need my nose syringed. is that a thing?

it feels like I have a flabby epiglottis.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:57 (twenty years ago) link

at this point i'm irate that i'm not trying glasgow next weekend. what was i thinking?

lauren (laurenp), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:59 (twenty years ago) link

I have no idea!!!

did you like paris?

crosspost but it's OK

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:59 (twenty years ago) link

I love paris but there wasn't much of paris in the film.

I guess it was interesting just not heartbreaking plus a touch obvious and didactic. and the guy's (the 'big brother' cypher) the guy's big voice was irritating.

some nice touches though. there was a guy before the film who talked about godard, did you get him at 'une femme est une femme'?

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:02 (twenty years ago) link

yes, we had him. before and after. I kind of wish he hadn't but he seemed nice.

it's all paris, btw!!!

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:03 (twenty years ago) link

haha outside is different from inside.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:04 (twenty years ago) link

I don't think you understand...

haha.

do you want to go to paris, on wednesday?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:10 (twenty years ago) link

O I'd love to but I'm going to see 'the passion'.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:29 (twenty years ago) link

dude paris is where the passion is

ken c (ken c), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:32 (twenty years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 28 March 2004 23:32 (twenty years ago) link

glasgow should have an FAP.

I met jed (colin) in the street and he talked to paul buchanan. it was all very exciting.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 30 March 2004 17:18 (twenty years ago) link

It is now April. I hear Tracer is around.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:03 (twenty years ago) link

was paul buchanan who the buchanan street was named after? if not who was he?

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:13 (twenty years ago) link

or who IS he, even (i didn't kill him!! honest)

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:13 (twenty years ago) link

He's the Blue Nile dude, dude

Dadaismus (Dada), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:15 (twenty years ago) link

... and, yes, Buchanan Street was named after him and Nile Street after his band

Dadaismus (Dada), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:15 (twenty years ago) link

and that's why the street has those weird blue lights!!! it all makes sense now

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:20 (twenty years ago) link

... and you can only walk down it if you're wearing a "Hat"

Dadaismus (Dada), Thursday, 8 April 2004 10:21 (twenty years ago) link
