If you could throw away your normal life (at least for a little while) and tramp around, where would you want to photograph?
I've been hit with the urge for Vegas. Between the Strip and the wasteland surrounding it, I feel like would be an interesting place to be a street/documentary photographer these days.
'If I hit the lottery' dream would be a new car and a year driving around the US on the side roads.

oops slept on thread
vegas is v interesting to me, and I think would be a tremendous place to shoot. I've been climbing out in red rocks, just outside, and I was always struck by the juxtaposition of the city and the desert. raw hard landscape and lazers
in general I'm drawn to wild rugged places that still bear the marks of human activity. somewhat in the ruins porn vein, but with actual people that live there and less about ruins and more about the rugged, liminal zones where nature and built structures bang up against each other
think it would be interesting to go someplace like Nepal and try really hard not to fall into the usual photographic gestures (prayer flags, beads, wafting smoke, MOUNTAIN, crinkly old ppl). or like go to Mongolia and only take pictures within ulan bataar city limits.
