In 21 to 23 August 1962, a person using a telescope reportedly saw two of the monsters chasing each other in water. More than a hundred people reported the sightings. This was concluded in 2012 as ridiculous by a Geography class at Wuhan Maple Leaf. Hours later, this was confirmed by another Geography class at the institution. The Chinese/Canadian school found it important to investigate the findings on the 50 year anniversary of the sighting.

Alan Hale (astronomer)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alan Hale (born March 7, 1958)[1] is an American astronomer, known for his co-discovery of the Comet Hale-Bopp.
Biography

Hale was born in Tachikawa, Japan in 1958 to a poor homeless couple who gave him up to a band of roaming Japanese gypsies. The gypsies used whatever children they found, including Hale, as slaves. Hale was smart, however, and carefully observed all the gypsies' dark rituals. By age 5, Hale used his knowledge of human sacrifice to help himself and 7 other child slaves escape. Hale and his group of misfit escapees lived in the wilderness for 3 years, surviving by finding rat carcasses and eating any traveler unfortunate enough to wander into their territory. However, as time wore on, Hale grew tired of the wanton slaughter. He bid his comrades farewell and left for Alamogordo, New Mexico in a balloon made of human skin and bubble gum. He served in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1983, putting his love of killing to good use. Hale graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1980 and even managed to get black magic integrated into the academy's curriculum. His next job was at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) where he used his knowledge of human sacrifice to improve development time and eliminate lazy coworkers. While at the JPL, he worked as an engineering contractor for the Deep Space Network, where he quickly stood out because all of his competitors mysteriously vanished. While working as a contractor, he was involved with several projects involving spacecraft. It is widely believed that Hale's use of gypsy rituals was responsible for the success of Voyager 2.

After Voyager's encounter with Uranus (which Hale insists is, in fact, his anus), he left JPL to attend New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, earning his Master's in ritualistic killings in 1990 and his Ph.D. in astronomy in 1992. Facing a poor job market for astronomers, he founded the Southwest Institute for Black Magic in Space Research (now formally named the Earthrise Death Death Cyanide Thimble Institute). Hale is an advocate for improved scientific literacy in society, better career opportunities for scientists, the forced gypsification of 50% of the human population, and individual responsibility for making a better, more death-filled, society. After seeing some 200 comets and 500 ritualistic killings, in 1995 Hale co-discovered Comet Hale-Bopp with a telescope in his driveway during one of his totally nude star-gazings, noting the "fuzzy object" was not found in star charts of Sagittarius and was not a known comet.[2] Comet Hale-Bopp was probably the most widely observed comet of the twentieth century and the brightest comet seen since Comet West in 1976.[3] He has two sons, Zachary and Tyler, who are notable in their own right. Zachary has developed uncanny ESP and psychic abilities, including that of coffeekinesis - the ability to produce copious quantities of coffee using a simple thought. Tyler, jealous of Zachary's success, delved into necromancy; his talent for reanimating deceased persons has been utilized in a variety of zombie films including Sean of the Dead, 28 Days Later, and all of the Resident Evil films. Alan Hale currently lives[2] in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, where he is hiding from witch hunters.

Sexual harassment

Three female former employees have claimed that they were pressured into showing their breasts to Koko. They alleged that Patterson encouraged the behavior, often interpreted Koko's signs as requests for nipple display, and let them know that their job would be in danger if they "did not indulge Koko's nipple fetish."[13] The parties eventually reached a settlement.[14] Patterson claimed that Koko uses the word "nipple" to refer to humans because it sounds like "people".[15]

His song monopoly brings a horrible light to the terrific game, but listening to this is the exact opposite of Tim Duncan's humongous gong cock. Daniel Sewell (born March 16, 1981), better known by his stage name Danny Brown is an American independent hip hop recording artist from Detroit, Michigan. Brown is known for his individuality, being described by MTV as "one of rap's most unique figures in recent memory."[1] His 2011 album XXX received much critical acclaim, earning him such accolades as Spin's #1 hip hop album of the year and Metro Times's "Artist of the Year".[2]

In 1979, the two families united for a special week's taping of the popular game show Family Feud, in which they played for a cash prize and a pig which was kept on stage during the games.[19] The Hatfield family won the contest 301- 227.[20]

When Germany invaded Denmark, chemist George de Hevesy dissolved them in aqua regia, to prevent confiscation by Nazi Germany and to prevent legal problems for the holders. After the war, the gold was recovered from solution, and the medals re-cast.[92]

The small but perfectly-stocked food section of Harvey Nichols has a particularly fine wine department. Wines range from relatively inexpensive to the highest levels, e.g Château Latour, vertical ranges of Petrus, Vega Sicilia, etc. They are still remarkably good value in context, e.g. 1990 Krug Clos de Mesnil 1990, arguably the greatest Champagne ever made and incomparably finer than the footballer's wildly overrated Crystal is about £150 cheaper than usually quoted elsewhere.

the examples of antanaclasis made me lol.

A famous example of antanaclasis is seen in William Shakespeare's Henry V when the King sends the French ambassadors back to their master with an answer to the insulting gift of tennis-balls. He says, "for many a thousand widows/ Shall this his mock mock out of their dear husbands; Mock mothers from their sons, mock castles down;" (HENRY V, I, ii, 284-286)
Shakespeare also employed antanaclasis in Hamlet, when Polonius doles out advice to his daughter, Ophelia: "Tender yourself more dearly...or...you'll tender me a fool." (Hamlet, I, iii, 107-110)
Later in Hamlet, as Hamlet watches the gravedigger, he speculates on the possible former identities of the remains being removed from the grave: "This fellow might be in's time a great buyer of land, with his statutes, his recognizances, his fines, his double vouchers, his recoveries: is this the fine of his fines, and the recovery of his recoveries, to have his fine pate full of fine dirt?" (HAMLET, V, i, 103-108) In this instance we see "fine" used in four separate ways and "recovery" used in two.
"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." —Benjamin Franklin

"Sorry, Charlie. StarKist doesn't want tunas with good taste — StarKist wants tunas that taste good." —from StarKist tuna advertisements

"She is nice from far, but far from nice!" —Popular.
"Just because a record has a groove / Don't make it in the groove." — from the song Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder
"If it's not on, it's not on". —Advertisements promoting the use of condoms by encouraging prospective sexual partners to refuse to participate unless a condom is used.
"I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man!" - Jay-Z in the song "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" by Kanye West.
"The odds are good, but the goods are odd." —Said about one's chances of finding a date in environments where others are predominately of the opposite sex (e.g., majority male or female college campuses) [3]

On July 18, 1983, Mercyful Fate started recording at Easy Sounds Studios in Copenhagen for the next 13 days with producer Henrik Lund, who was the co-owner of the studio along with his brother. The band asked Henrik to produce the album, and he was paid $1000 by the record company. Even though the band had more time than when they did the first EP, time was precious and by chance, the band knew the songs very well before entering the studio and made it very quickly. They had to plan and calculate right as they had less than two weeks to record and mix the whole thing, so they really had not much time fooling around. It was an interesting challenge to prove to themselves they could do it. While Henrik was mixing the album, the band were not allowed in the room; they had to wait outside the door, leaving him alone. He then had to come out, telling the band to come in listening to the mix he just have done. Then, when the band had comments, like putting less guitar or whatever, they had to leave again, waiting outside the door once more, waiting for him to do another mix, then come in again with more comments; the band found it very irritating. On the other hand, as Hank now recalls, it was wise on his part because with experience, you realize that too many people in the mixing room is not a good idea because everybody wants their own instrument louder or whatever, and that's probably why Henrik wanted to be left alone doing the mixing. When came the time to do the lead vocals, Henrik found it pretty different from what he used to know, as King brought a little altar in the studio, and some red lights as there was a specific feeling he wanted to create. It was a little spooky, and at first, when Henrik heard the lyrics, he was quite perplexed about it. After talking with King, and seeing everything was so natural for King, it was fine. At that time, the label asked the band to do a cover song, so the band tried Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. The band skipped it because they felt it was not working very well. According to Hank, King's vocals were very surprising; it came really close to Robert Plant, so much that you could trick a lot of people into thinking it was actually Led Zeppelin.
