olbermann hates brady, doesn't he

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:00 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm sure he does (he is usually the smuggest man on earth) but what did he say now?

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:03 (sixteen years ago) link

he just said Brady's ankle was clearly fucking with him and thought it was ridiculous that nobody at Fox said anything on that point. I don't know if that amounts to Brady hate though

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:09 (sixteen years ago) link

So I assume that was sarcasm, then..

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:10 (sixteen years ago) link

did you miss the brady-bush thing?? and when he said that losing the super bowl counts like SEVEN losses.

LEAVE BRADY ALONE :)

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:22 (sixteen years ago) link

I DIDN’T TUNE IN UNTIL THE LAST 2 MINUTES OF THE
GAME BECAUSE I CAN’T STAND MYSELF SHOUTING & SCREAMING FOR 3 HOURS. WHAT A CLIMAX & WONDERFUL
ENDING FOR A VERY NICE, HUMBLE PERSON, TOM BRADY.

That actually happened, right..? I'm still having trouble, guys. But (*&^# Belechick. I liked that he was evil but for crying out loud, don't act like that.

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 02:58 (sixteen years ago) link

that pic of strahan I posted has been my desktop background since I showed up today. and it will stay that way as long as I can stand it.

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:01 (sixteen years ago) link

dar1a, i'm basically still in a total state of unbelief myself. like i'm pretty sure i'm going to get up tomorrow and find out that i dreamt all of this.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:02 (sixteen years ago) link

I can only hope. Unfortunately, I think it really happened. I haven't watched that video but def recall from the start.. was like, where is the team I watched all season? and what was the game plan? it didn't look like they wanted to win, a lot of the time.

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:07 (sixteen years ago) link

they were outplayed fair and square by a better team, that's what happened to that team. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS INSANE BECAUSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE GIANTS AND THE PATRIOTS. the giants front four dismantled the supposed best offense in the league like they were playing a jv squad from ohio. i had faith the giants would win, but not like this! when was the last time the pats scored less than 20 points in a game?? 1999?

i'm just glad they stayed classy at the end. i know you love the pats dude, but christ what a bunch of blow jobs.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:14 (sixteen years ago) link

i'm just shocked that, somehow, over the course of the last month, the giants became a better team than the fucking patriots! WHY DON'T YOU GO MAKE SOME MORE CUPCAKES WITH MATT LAUER, TIKI! LOL!

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:15 (sixteen years ago) link

and shockey's ass is so fired, finally. it's like all of my dreams came true all at once!

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:16 (sixteen years ago) link

this game made me feel better about the packers loss, i was like 'are we that bad or are the giants really that good suddenly'. now i know.

Dimension 5ive, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 03:42 (sixteen years ago) link

I read some postgame stuff on the Boston sports site yesterday.. Junior Seau was asked if he'd leave football and was like "I'm having too much fun" (seriously), Brady talked to the media and didn't act like a jerk, but I don't think Belichick said anything except gave a few answers to one ESPN guy in the hallway?

I saw they were outplayed I'm just thinking, you know.. if they'd lost that Ravens game at least and nobody went in there thinking a loss here was like the total end of the world. And I wonder what happens next year (can not wait until next season!!!) if certain people change their attitude from this. brady stops yelling at guys, BB stops being evil. one can hope. I'm still gonna root for them but can't really defend his behavior after this one

Others who fell in sight of history:

The Australia cricket team lost the Perth Test to India by 72 runs last month when they needed one more win to beat their own record of 16 consecutive Test wins.

Pats = Aussie cricketers

if certain people change their attitude from this. brady stops yelling at guys, BB stops being evil.

brady yelled at guys when he was in ann arbor, that's not going to change. as as far as bb, well.... i dunno, ask bernie kosar or bill's ex-wife or the ex-husband of that other marriage he split up. one loss of a football game isn't going to change anyone's nature.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 15:59 (sixteen years ago) link

I have no idea what someone's personal life has to do with it, but, well, let me try google & see what Bernie Kosar has to say..

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 16:10 (sixteen years ago) link

i meant if he's an evil person you can expect him to continue to be evil on the field.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 16:21 (sixteen years ago) link

Not if it doesn't work any more?
Otherwise, eh, I thought it was funny to be rooting for the forces of evil all season long and just figured evil would always triumph because good is dumb. But unfortunately the Packers didn't make it to the big game so we didn't get Favre with a big halo and nearly as much hype :)

Not if it doesn't work any more?

i'd wager not too many people would change much about a coaching job that saw a team go undefeated in the regular season, win two playoff games, then lose to the hottest team in the league in the superbowl.

my goal is to now move out of my apartment and into a new one where i can have a satellite dish so i can order nfl network in time for the draft.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 18:36 (sixteen years ago) link

Maybe my gut is telling me I should just go back to where I grew up, buy a double wide and a big ass pickup truck, go hiking in the mountains, and put up a satellite dish to watch NFL network and stock car racing the rest of the time. I could probably do all that for what it costs to rent a tiny studio in DC.

daria-g, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 18:44 (sixteen years ago) link

ha!

daria you can get a townhouse in gaithersburg for the cost of a studio downtown.

j.q higgins, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 18:53 (sixteen years ago) link

chicago rents, despite being on the incline, are still insanely cheap compared to the rest of the country. i couldn't get a studio in the tiny backwards-assed suburb in north bumfuck massachusetts where i grew up for what i pay for my one bedroom.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 18:55 (sixteen years ago) link

which is why i still live in an apartment i hate i suppose. i just don't hate it enough, yet.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 5 February 2008 18:56 (sixteen years ago) link

Have I ever mentioned how we pay less than $600 for A HOUSE in a nice, historic neighborhood?
