Points will be assigned as follows: Weighted: 1st choice (top of the ballot) 260 points, then 245, 235, 225, 220, 215, 210, 205, 200, 195, 190, 188, 186, 184 and so on down to 2 points for 100th place. i kindof feel like exactly these things that are being used itt to describe these guys as dicks are exactly why they are good. lack of responsibility. bailing out on the debts they said they would pay. its cathartic and refreshing. the deal was not the deal i thought it was. the fine print was unreadable. i wanted the money but not the job. this is how i feel, bypassing the beaurocracies that displace every responsibility. don't phone in sick because its a busy shift. i don't fucking care. its like epic records. standing on the balcony. i wish i could do that. i still have to fucking wait tables every night. i'm glad somebody can. standing teetering on the edge. two fingers. tie the cord, kick the chair and you're dead. if i call in sick its my fucking coworkers that take the brunt. this is it, the production of innocence. my boss is my best friend. we're all victims. there's something to be said for it. the album is so good as well. all uncontainable id. no love. deep web. wrapped up so tight i can't breath. i need something that punctures it. interrupts these notions of responsibility that are predicated on this particular handshake. i hope i can pay my rent this month.

ad communication: take Understand Me for instance. Chief is beggng me to understand him, but he does it in a totally nonchalant, detached way that makes it clear that a) he's not really expecting me to understand him or even say something he wants to hear, and b) it really doesn't matter anyway. The ad libs are pretty unfocused, happy with being sounds rather than emphasizing how important it is that I understand him. Then enter Jeezy, the traditional goon, who starts off by referencing Keef's hit, as if it is really important to him that we understand that he is very aware of whose song he is on. As his verse proceeds, he uses his ad libs to create the illusion that he is in fact the ideal audience to his own narrative, laughing at the jokes, admiring the objects of desire he describes in his verse - totally immersed in communicating. Now I'm specifically not saying that because of this Keef is a lesser lyricist than Jeezy - I am describing their styles and delivery and the impression created by them and how Keef differs from other goons.
In Gucci too there is always an element of "look at me, see what I can do and say" - a joy in acting aout the Gucci persona - that is not exactly lacking but rather obscured or displaced in Keef.

Music and it's culture is at all time low - thanks to Pop these days just being a factory line with no room for being creative. The marketing is more important than the songs. Dance keeps repeating itself and people who listen to it are twats anyway. Indie has become boring and stale, and needs a good firm kick up the arse if it is to be at least a little fresh and exciting again. (Ha!).

Differences between the CD they sent and mine:
1) Theirs is a shiny sleeve, with a booklet2) mine is a matt sleeve, no booklet but Track listing on the sleeve and the label.
Apart from that, difficult to tell them apart.
