Had a moment like that with my 8-year-old last weekend. We were having a party with the whole extended family and I caught a glimpse of him through a window, lurking outside in the rain, wearing all black with fingerless gloves. Why are you lurking? Where did you get fingerless gloves? Where did you get the idea to wear fingerless gloves?

Looks like an awesome place to hike. We moved from a rather hilly area with lots of parks to a flat coastal area with few parks. I miss the days of taking hikes with my kids all the time.

I was trying to wean her off the one binkie by sneaking it away from her from time to time, but now it looks like she's keeping one in her face and one in her hand just in case.

yeah, the mountain parks system here is nice. wildlife and that. can't remember if i recounted our rattlesnake run-in from this summer on ilp, but it was ~exciting~.

Thought how's life's kid was n/a's at first.
