I switched the method around, and put the beans & the dry ingredients in the food processor, and then mixed the oil, the vanilla, the maple and the chia seeds together, and then slowly poured them into the dry mix, and then fold the nuts, cherries and chocolate in as normal.
they seem to hold together pretty well after baking, fudgy and deeelicious

That looks delicious.
Grain-free pizza crust baked and snarfed here. The recipe uses roasted mashed root veg (yellow sweet potato this time), eggs, tapioca starch. Crispy yet chewy, tastes yeasty even.
