WCC is my friend and it upsets me when people have a go at her: 90% of the time I do understand why it happens.

I remember WCC's initial tweet that started this, and it didn't mention anybody by name. I know because I had to come on ILX and try and figure out who it referred to. At the time, as I recall, WCC's twitter feed was private, so it was, IMO, comparable to a private kitchen (or as comparable as online space ever can be). For the record, I have no idea who Mordy is and pay little attention to board politics and infighting 99% of the time. I can barely keep track of who people I've me IRL on here are half the time due to changing usernames.

Once upon a time, many years ago, an ilxor suggested that I, and another ilXor, were comparable to the BNP, on their blog, using our real names. I only found out about this when the other liabled ilXor told me a couple of weeks later. That, I would have wanted them banned for, if they hadn't pretty much already fucked off already.

DJP OTM, as usual, re people talking TO each other not past or at or about each other. It helps solve things.

AG, for the record, yo do @ people a lot on twitter about polls. It can be annoying, but it's no big deal. I post a lot of pictures of my dinner, which I know irritates some people.

It's so weird when there are little cross-sections of the board that don't overlap. I'd be like "who wouldn't know who Mordy is?" But then earlier this week Andrew Farrell emerged as someone with a lot to say, and I hadn't noticed him in the 5 years I've been here even though he's been posting since 2001.

By "I don't know who Mordy is" I know we had a little spat the other day on the @ihateindierock thread, and I know about twittergate, but I have no idea if Mordy is UK or US or elsewhere, what their taste in music is, who their friends and enemies on ILX are. And that's true for about... Well, I don't even know what percentage of posters. About the only people I've not met in person on here who I can identify and remember are DJP and Ned.

And it ooh me about six months and several overt mentions of The Cure to cotton on to who DJP was.

yeah, without reading anything i voted yes. it's totally a shitty move. i would be so fucking pissed if someone ever escalated a bullshit ilx argument and made it public. i still can't figure out if it was initially posted to a private feed (didn't even know you could do that on twitter tbh) and then made public, or if it was always public, or if mordy was tagged initially or only later on, or whatever. but regardless, blleleeeeegh to the whole thing

I retweeted it. At that time the feed was taken private and I guess that broke the retweet because it disappeared. When the twitter account came back up, the message was gone. A few days later this was posted:

Let that post be the permanent record ^ I don't want to have to continue to defend myself but it has gotten to the point where I understand someone who wants to write this whole thing off as 'everyone behaving badly.' That is not the case, however. I argued with WCC in a thread about pushing buttons and have since been libeled by her on twitter and ilx. For the record, I still don't hate her. I'm just really upset about this entire thing and I think the real problem is a total failure of modding.

Mordy, those tweets were not the original posts calling you a mansplainer. They happened much later whilst you were having a go at WCC concurrently in an ILX thread. You posted that screengrab at the time.
