Yes, this is UTTER board lawyering, just to prove that I did not name Mordy. I named "mansplainer" because that was what he was doing - telling me how he understood the meaning of a question far, far better than me, the person who actually asked it.

Was that a nice thing to say? No. I was pissed off and frustrated and having a rant about something that seemed unfair to me (I could no longer participate in the thread I had started because someone was turning it into a clusterfuck.) Out of context do I sound like a lunatic? Probably, yes. Could you infer who I was talking about if you were a long-term reader of ILX? Possibly, if you were reading the exact thread, or were familiar with what ILX0rs had had beef with me for calling them a mansplainer before. (He did the same thing back then, he rampaged across several threads, arguing with Laurel and I, getting more and more indignant until the women gave up and left the conversation, while all the while trying to hold some kind of moral high ground.)

But did I call someone out by name? No, I did not.

Is that what the thread is even about? Probably not. The thread is about how someone's spat with me has infected dozens of threads for about a week now. You can't blame me for that. I deliberately stayed away from those threads. But when ILX wants a public execution, it will get its public execution one way or another, right? Especially if it's a ~crazy lady~ who inspires strong reactions in people.

I'm not going to even get into this "OMG, you play the victim" thing. I don't recognise the cartoon depiction people hold, as being anything like me, or the me that people who have gone down the pub with me recognise. But when you are at the bottom of a massive pile-on, as happens every time someone gets the hump with me on ILX, it's really hard not to *feel* victimised. Even paranoiacs have enemies.

(FWIW I can think of at least three occasions when WCC was tempbanned, although admittedly it was withdrawn on one of those occasions, the other two were for long occasions. That's more than most other posters. I don't think she's particularly coddled by mods and I personally have called her out on her shit on several occasions.)

It was AFTER 3 days of clusterfuck, and him contacting me over twitter trying to prolong it. I logged back onto ILX after a weekend away, looked at another thread, and saw him still going on about this naming I did not do. It was obvious that he was still reading my twitter, and mining it for ammunition to carry on his clusterfucks. Yes, when he @'d me in that final "I don't hate you" (I'm just making it really clear that I'm still reading your twitter and dragging it up on ILX) I named him. Because I stupidly thought that putting a name on who was doing this would do *something* to make it clear that what he was doing was not OK.

btw i have been holding back all week from making a "if you had a button with which you could make ilx blink out of existence" parody thread but it is painful because it just reminds me that i do

Mordy chased me off a thread I started with nastiness that other people recognised as being over the line on 13th October.

I had a little rant on twitter (no real names were used at that point.) I took a weekend off ILX.

On Monday, I logged back onto ILX. The first thread I clicked on, there was Mordy still going on about my twitter and how I had named him. I posted one tweet to check that he was indeed reading every word of my twitter, and posting the results to ILX, and then he @'d me (I did not even know what his handle was, or I would have blocked him long ago) and then I posted his handle.

What I did was in response to his provocation both times.
