Mordy chased me off a thread I started with nastiness that other people recognised as being over the line on 13th October.

I had a little rant on twitter (no real names were used at that point.) I took a weekend off ILX.

On Monday, I logged back onto ILX. The first thread I clicked on, there was Mordy still going on about my twitter and how I had named him. I posted one tweet to check that he was indeed reading every word of my twitter, and posting the results to ILX, and then he @'d me (I did not even know what his handle was, or I would have blocked him long ago) and then I posted his handle.

What I did was in response to his provocation both times.

The clusterfuck just kept carrying on and carrying on. I figured it was going to happen whether I participated or not, so I ignored it the best I could.

I would not have even responded to this, except someone started comparing me to fucking Luna - on an unrelated thread - because this guy will not leave me alone.

And now, to top it all off, this guy is asking for *me* to be banned? After clusterfucking about me for a week? This guy is beyond belief.

I think I'm being misunderstood here - I'm not defending WCC as such - I've spent a few days of my life gnashing my teeth at her views of what is public and what is private - I'm just saying if you want to interact in a message board with her, this is a useful rule of thumb - also saying that I do on balance want her on the message board.

Apart from anything else, keeping frogbs concerned about poking his head out because someone is "constantly crying misogynist and mansplainer" is I hope a public good we can all agree on.

I've already stated that I took my feed private bcz every time someone posts a link to it from here I get weird followers. The tweet is still there, I just don't like having to block ppl like Chaki and Whiney and Lagoon from trying to follow me bcz they think there's ~drama~ to be had, OK?

ok everyone this is ILX and ILX is not about personal sniping across social media platforms. ILX is about Taylor Swift records and Tarantino films and disgruntled left-winger hand wringing. It's about trucker hats and talking dinosaurs and having hot chicks in our beds after we play awesome metal shows. we need to remember why we all came together to share our ideas about UK Funky House and Velvet Underground minutiae and Drake. we need to remember that we hate pitchfork but read it religiously, and that we're not cool with Amanda Palmer. we need to remember why we are who we are. in the name of Aaliyah, we need to remember.

People here have already formed their opinions about who I am, and what my motivations are. Some people are going to believe that I'm an awful person and should be burned at the stake no matter what I do. Some people are going to accept me as flawed but fully rounded human being. There's nothing I can say or do at this point to change anyone's opinion of me.

But when someone starts calling for me to be banned because they are either unable to tell "mansplainer" from their name, or because they just flat out lied, I have the right to call them out on it. People have been calling me out for real or imagined transgressions for the past week, it seems only fair.
