The timeline from where I'm standing:

-I started the button thread
-When people started talking about suicide, I asked them not to (because talking about suicide is actually triggering of suicidal impulses if you are that way inclined.)
-Mordy started overtalking me, quoting "death of the author" (what? is that a threat?)
-I posted a disgruntled tweet about mansplaining because he has a history of overtalking women, esp re "mansplaining"
-Mordy started getting overtly personal and nasty to me on the thread, so I left
-I had a twitter rant
-I went on the mod board, asked for the thread to be locked if it was going to turn into a clusterfuck and decided to go take a long walk

-I come back to ILX on Monday after a good weekend
-First thread I click on, Sick makes a snide non-specific joke at Mordy, Mordy responds with I'M READING YOUR TWITTER
-I post a "if you're reading this, you're creepy for reading the twitter of a girl you claim to hate" tweet
-Mordy posts that tweet straight back to ILX
-Mordy starts @'ing me saying he doesn't hate me, in direct contradiction of his behaviour on ILX
-I name him so I have his twitter handle
-I block him and don't think of it again

-I have a busy week at work so I don't come back to ILX until last night
-Luna thread turns into yet another clusterfuck
-Clusterfuck moves to this thread

I didn't think this was the case, although obviously I don't want to contradict how you feel about it - for my work I've been trained that if I suspect someone is suicidal I should always ask them directly as it isn't an idea you can "plant" in someone's head, and dialogue is better than avoidance

A guy has bullied me off a thread. He announces that he is watching me, and reporting on my behaviour - as far as I can tell, with the intention of starting and perpetuating a clusterfuck. I find being at the bottom of a clusterfuck really quite scary and intimidating and not very nice, believe it or not. Being threatened with one scares me.

I have walked away from ILX to avoid being caught up in those clusterfucks.

He then comes after me on twitter, and starts contacting me through twitter.

This is starting to feel like the behaviour of actual IRL stalkers (a couple of ex boyfriends, a couple of freaks who got obsessed with my band) who have used the internet to monitor and threaten me. I can't explain how "I'M READING YR TWITTER" is threatening and scary unless you've experienced someone *finding your email address just to prove they can, that you are not safe from them* but to me, it is.

Maybe this is me being weird and paranoid, but when a guy starts coming after me like *that* (i.e. leaving ILX, the public sphere and coming into my private sphere) I want his name out there. I want people to see who it is doing this, in case that person escalates.

I'm NOT calling Mordy a stalker. But I'm saying that his behaviour started to really remind me of actual stalkers I've had. I'm sure people are going to say "OMG, you are playing the victim yet again." I found his behaviour intimidating enough to want a public record of it. That tweet with his handle in it was my public record of "this guy has escalated to making contact on twitter, I am not OK with this."

I really need to go to bed now (though I probably won't sleep.) Ban me or don't ban me, I don't care any more.

You joke about that whole "different countries" but I had a guy who lived in the Netherlands fly out to NYC and turn up outside my apartment.

Yes, I am jumpy and over paranoid about some kinds of stuff. And I'm sure to some people that is hilarious and entertaining. But if my alarm bells are calibrated really strangely, it's because I've experienced stuff that you clearly cannot even imagine.
