I had Blood on the Tracks on a 45-minute cassette tape, and the guy who taped it for me cut out "Idiot Wind" to make it fit. So I know the rest of the album by heart, but may have never heard that song.

i like dylan but don't really know his stuff outside of the big early albums, so i've lined up blood on the tracks, john wesley harding, and infidels on spotify this morning

I think you should have to draw small pictures of the judge on the ballot to retain them.

Looks like Brim got just over 60% to be retained. If she couldn't get kicked out I'm not sure who could.

I guess I've assumed that this is the case. Since you can view the elections results by ward, I was wondering if you could extrapolate which wards are best-informed by their percentage of "no" votes.

well there could be some people who are "informed" but still choose to retain judges because of their personal beliefs or weirdness

eh it's a family neighborhood and they have a kids eat free special, I think you'll be ok. I've never eaten there despite its proximity.

I love the ultra nerd with glasses who wants to watch Dallas. He's pretty consistently hilarious. I've only watched 1.75 episodes though.

Very mild spoilers here but: one of the things I love about f&g is how they consistently take side characters who seem like stereotypes and then flesh them out into three dimensional characters (Kim Kelley, the gym teacher, even the bully).

Los Nopales is an interesting one on that list--Mexican on Western in Lincoln Square.

I'm guessing you're watching it on Netflix but the DVD commentary tracks are pretty great.

Yes Netflix. It popped up in the recommended list along with My So Called Life, which I have never seen, tried to watch, hated almost immediately, and turned off. I find these nerds and stoners much more relatable for some reason I cannot imagine why.

I forget where I read it, but someone pointed out that the Bib Gourmand list is a weird mix of trendy places that aren't quite worthy of a star and cheap ethnic standbys.

Just realized that Antique Taco got a nod over Big Star -- I think their tacos do stand up to their competitor's, but I had a lousy margarita there.
