You have obviously never engaged in hot coitus before.

Well, we do know that he's the makeout king.

Yeah, I'm actually a virgin. A virgin who likes to make bad Office Space references.

daniel striped tiger (OutDatWay), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:14 (seventeen years ago) link

Oddlyenough, this conversation is making me want pizza.

always crashing in other people's cars (kenan), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:15 (seventeen years ago) link

I want to get durnk.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:16 (seventeen years ago) link

Hey, Dan, can you rip those Rush CDs for me?

Eazy (Eazy), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:17 (seventeen years ago) link

I have pizza in the fridge, but I'm a little afraid of it. My craving for protein got out of hand last night, and I ordered the meat lover's special -- pepperoni, ham, and sausage. It's... a bit much.

always crashing in other people's cars (kenan), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:18 (seventeen years ago) link

Anthony Bourdain would be proud.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:19 (seventeen years ago) link

...woke up with my shoulders and neck still feeling sore.

my boss's daughter just got out of the hospital due to meningitis. have you been in lake county recently?

otto midnight (otto midnight), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:20 (seventeen years ago) link

xpost Probably not. He would be proud if I made a really mean pot-au-feu or fried something in duck fat.

While high on speed and listening to the Ramones.

I want more chips and salsa. A coworker I like brought in her trader joes chips and mild salsa to share for an afternoon snack. It was TASTY.

Queen Sarah Saturday (coco), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:24 (seventeen years ago) link

I have been demolishing all of my co-worker's coconut-banana bread.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:29 (seventeen years ago) link

You have a problem with rage.

always crashing in other people's cars (kenan), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:30 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm going to sit in at a gig at a $$$ creole restaurant tonight. Can't decide if I want to eat beforehand to save money or drop $20+ on dinner.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:32 (seventeen years ago) link

Motivation: if I get this gig, I will likely be able to eat there for FREE on occasion

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 8 September 2006 20:33 (seventeen years ago) link

Why am I still here? My coworkers gave up long ago. My boss is long gone. Sigh. I want a beer.

daniel striped tiger (OutDatWay), Friday, 8 September 2006 21:34 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm not at work anymore.

And I think I'm catching a ride over to the Hopleaf to meet some people in a while, so if you see this come by/give a call/whatever.

daniel striped tiger (OutDatWay), Saturday, 9 September 2006 02:34 (seventeen years ago) link

I am trying to get this stupid external hard drive to work. Stupid technology.

n/a (Nick A.), Saturday, 9 September 2006 04:03 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm in New Orleans. I no longer engage in night life.

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Saturday, 9 September 2006 05:24 (seventeen years ago) link

Tomorrow I go to Mary Qu33n of Vi3tnam Catholic Church.

This city is fucked because this country is fucked. I hate to be a doommonger, but could I interest you in some really particularly delectable, premium quality doom?

To wrap up, we're all fucked.

Look at the Piggy in the Mirror (unclejessjess), Saturday, 9 September 2006 05:28 (seventeen years ago) link

South Union was so fun, with an afterparty at the Hungry Brain - I'm out dancing to 'Modern Love' with the gals when in come 3 Wilco guys.

Eazy (Eazy), Saturday, 9 September 2006 06:59 (seventeen years ago) link

GODAMMIT I forgot about the Eric Z show at South Union, I wanted to go. :(

n/a (Nick A.), Saturday, 9 September 2006 14:08 (seventeen years ago) link

Yeah, I haven't seen Eric in a while. Soon, I hope.

We're playing in Evanston in a couple hours.

Does anyone want to see Girl Talk at the Bottle tonight, or are you all Touch-and-Go'ing it?

jaymc (jaymc), Saturday, 9 September 2006 14:20 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm gonna see to The Gossip tonight. (Crazy number of shows tonight - I tried getting Bridget/Shark interested, but I think she's going to Joan of Arc at South Union.)

Eazy (Eazy), Saturday, 9 September 2006 15:10 (seventeen years ago) link

Wow. I would love to see Girl Talk but I've got some studying to do.

Party Time Country Female (pullapartgirl), Saturday, 9 September 2006 16:32 (seventeen years ago) link

We MIGHT be going to Gossip/EE at Metro b/c free tickets, but might lazy out.

n/a (Nick A.), Saturday, 9 September 2006 20:12 (seventeen years ago) link

Tonight it has been revealed to me the dark side of our new precious and well-located apartment: if our neighbors decide to boil cabbage for dinner, our entire apartment becomes permeated with the smell.

I do not like the smell of boiled cabbage.

Party Time Country Female (pullapartgirl), Sunday, 10 September 2006 00:55 (seventeen years ago) link

I love the taste of boiled cabbage. Especially when accompanied by boiled potatoes and rutabagas!

There is a great deal of noise outside of my house. A lot of "YOU C'MERE! C'MERE! YOU C'MERE! I SAID C'MERE! YOU C'MERE! COME! HERE!"

This is set to a loud backdrop of Rebirth Brass Band played on someone's car stereo. (Ain't no party like a Rebirth party, etc).

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 01:51 (seventeen years ago) link

Huh. That didn't include the little star. Anyway, it's at St. Thomas and 8th. Off of Tchoupitoulas, a name I like a lot.

Here.

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 01:57 (seventeen years ago) link

We decided to be lazy and watch four episodes of Lost.

Does anyone else ever feel guilty for staying home and being lazy instead of going out and taking advantage of what the city has to offer? I do.

n/a (Nick A.), Sunday, 10 September 2006 02:29 (seventeen years ago) link

Yes. BUT, considering last weekend, and considering that I'm kind of broke, I think it's best that I'm staying in tonight doing the following

-going for a jog (thought I was goinng 1.5 miles, but I accidentally went 3! (about half of it running))
-reading Achewood comics
-watching Venture Bros.
-watching Chumscrubber
-hunting the GIgantic roach that I have found on my potato the past 3 times I went into the pantry. It ate a hole in my potato!!!

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 02:42 (seventeen years ago) link

I would be so happy if someone blasted Rebirth outside my place in Wisconsin.

Today I played a decent gig in Milwaukee, went to a friend's house to see his new baby, started watching The Winslow Boy, turned it off and watched the copy of Under the Cherry Moon that I bought for ten bucks. It's terrible/funny.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 10 September 2006 03:03 (seventeen years ago) link

-hunting the GIgantic roach that I have found on my potato the past 3 times I went into the pantry. It ate a hole in my potato!!!

This is one of the main reasons why I may never actually live in New Orleans.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 10 September 2006 03:06 (seventeen years ago) link

There are critters of all types and sizes, that is for sure. We also have a mouse in the house, but I can deal with a mouse. It's a mammal. I don't like animals with no nipples and too many legs.

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 03:27 (seventeen years ago) link

Rule #1: If you see a roach crawling on your potato, get rid of the potato.

Under the Cherry Moon is so terrifunny it's not even funny.

Party Time Country Female (pullapartgirl), Sunday, 10 September 2006 03:37 (seventeen years ago) link

I saw Jeff at the Touch & Go thing but was separated shortly thereafter. Man or Astroman was the best.

Now I want to do something but I am at home. Shit.

daniel striped tiger (OutDatWay), Sunday, 10 September 2006 03:48 (seventeen years ago) link

In New Orleans, the rule is: If you see a roach crawling on your potato, scream like a fucking pussy, close the cabinet door, come back a day later, repeat, repeat again, then carve away the roach-eaten part, bake it and season to taste.

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 03:49 (seventeen years ago) link

Far worse things have crawled on potatoes when they were in the ground. And you know that roaches have crawled on your food, and in fact there are probably roaches on some of your food right now!

Hi Jesse

Hi Daniel Striped Tiger!

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 04:12 (seventeen years ago) link

Or should I call you Mr. Tiger?

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 04:12 (seventeen years ago) link

The Chumscrubber is like a total rip-off of Donnie Darko.

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 04:26 (seventeen years ago) link

Dude, fuck the South, fuck the tropics and fuck the sub-tropics.

I was in the bathroom, at my most vulnerable when what should catch my eye but a spider with a tiny body and GIgantic legs that spread from the hardwood floor, across the molding and onto the baseboards.

***as i was typing this my phone rang (773 area cod) and latino man answered saying "who ees thees?" which i hate, so i said "you called me, who are you?"

"fuck jew! who ees thees? is thees marteen?"

"no, this isn't martin"

"fuck jew! jew suck my deek! motherfucker, fuckeeng fuck jew! jew fucking asshole! jew suck my deek! who ees dees!?"

Anyway, fuck warm climates because there are bugs and Mexicans calling from Chicago!!

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 06:42 (seventeen years ago) link

(the preceeding has nothing to do with jews. it is only intended to be an unkind depiction of latinos from chicago)

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 06:49 (seventeen years ago) link

:(

And now, shitting you not, for the last 10 minutes there has been scratching on my ceiling/wall. It's probably squirrels or tarantulas, but I do not want to deal with living things at 3 AM.

This is what I get for being up and sober at 3 AM.

The Pig on the Stairs (hanging in a groovy purple shirt) (unclejessjess), Sunday, 10 September 2006 07:05 (seventeen years ago) link

I've had mice before, and despite being totally filthy creatures who are a health and safety risk to you and your pets, they're pretty darn adorable.

always crashing in other people's cars (kenan), Sunday, 10 September 2006 14:02 (seventeen years ago) link

Wittle white mice wiff wittle pink noses. Big grey rats would probably freak me out a lot more.

always crashing in other people's cars (kenan), Sunday, 10 September 2006 14:03 (seventeen years ago) link

Oh god, I wanted to punch Albini in the neck. Why have you got to noodle on about Martina Nvratalova for 20 minutes and then finally break into the watch song. My back is killing me

I'm leaning towards not going today, if anyone wants a ticket.
