Sundar - Disturbo is awesome, I assume you were listening to the cassette or did someone release it on CD? I saw a few *classic* shows with them....they opened for Bad Religion & Helmet in Toronto and they went across Canada opening for Down By Law. After my friend (Mark Holman) left they did a few other big gigs (tour of eastern Canada with NOFX) but they never really took off like they could/should have.
J-Rock - Not from the 'shwa...Mark Holman (guitars) and Al Nolan (singer) are both from Pickering...essentially they started the band - Mark's old band (Missing Link) had broken up and Al was a fan of thiers and he wanted to work with Mark (more or less, thats how the band came together). Back in the Disturbo era Simon Head played bass and he was also from Pickering. I think the drummer on that album was Yared (I can't think of his last name) - he was from Scarbourough (if I remember correctly).
They've had ALOT of line-up changes since then, but originally they're from Pickering...I think Al lives in Toronto now - he was living downtown awhile ago anyway.
Mark Holman is now in Scratching Post and they are in the process of recording a new album that is gonna impress ALOT of people. I've only heard a few rough tracks but its awesome!

My friends, the guys who love Trigger Happy, went to high school with Phil from Scratching Post. I know it's pretty irrelevant, but I remember that was their tenuous claim to fame.

Phil is no longer in Scratching Post, he's now in a band based out of Detroit called "Radio Holiday" (but he still lives in the 'shwa). Colin Clark (also from 'shwa) is the band's guitar player....maybe you know him too?
Phil was also in Trigger Happy long ago....

one month passes...
Does someone have a tracklist for
Disturbo? I dubbed the tape off my housemate but he only had an unlabelled dub to begin with. Sean C, Noodles, do you know this album? I think it might be your thing. It's sort of like Husker Du vs Rush or something.
