i didn't get a chance to read the news stories today so this may be old news but pete said that patrick called him like 18 months ago to write songs but what they came up with didn't "feel right" or whatever. then patrick called him again a few months ago and they got back at it and i guess that's where this album is coming from.

also patrick was looking fine

Digging the new song. It's really weird, but I've been compelled to listen a number of times.

Also, the Fall out Boy tag on tumblr is filled with A WHOLE LOT OF CAPS LOCK

Maybe it's not a very well-developed song, objectively, but it sure did a great job of amplifying my personal excitement about a new album.

Yeah I was just about to say that it reminds me of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy meets Bon Jovi's It's My Life minus the presence of a piano.

FOB has always been about packaging massive hooks in excoriating sonics 4 me, this new one embodies this MO perfectly imo

they moved the release date up to April 15 and put the album onsale on the FOB site, but i have no idea if that means they ship the CDs as soon as you order them or if they'll come in April.

infinity on high is a wonderful album and i am drunk

FOB is an awesome band for being drunk to

i'm honestly not even sure what to expect from this album or if there's any reason to believe it'll be as good as their last 3 albums, but Butch Walker producing has me optimistic, i'm not crazy about "My Songs" but i like that it sounds like the song he did on Pink's last album.
