they moved the release date up to April 15 and put the album onsale on the FOB site, but i have no idea if that means they ship the CDs as soon as you order them or if they'll come in April.

infinity on high is a wonderful album and i am drunk

FOB is an awesome band for being drunk to

a penny for your thoughts but a dollar for your insides!

i'm honestly not even sure what to expect from this album or if there's any reason to believe it'll be as good as their last 3 albums, but Butch Walker producing has me optimistic, i'm not crazy about "My Songs" but i like that it sounds like the song he did on Pink's last album.

jfc i remember reading so much disgusting stuff on the internet about how "fat" Stump was and now he loses weight and shapes up and he still gets shit? some people just can't win.

I saw them a couple of times at Leeds Festival in the 2000s and to be fair they were a pretty fun live band. But on record? Nah, not for me.

They're at Leeds this year and they'll probably draw one of the biggest crowds of the weekend.

it seems like patrick is really straining his voice... he has a strong voice but the signing on these records doesn't sound organic or something

The Phoenix seems like a song that exists solely to make a video for.

i really dig this song, even more than "my songs," and patrick's more aggressive singing on both songs feels, strangely, extremely organic to me, especially when it's in deliberate contrast with the (from what i can tell) extremely sampled/phased backing.

it just sounds like he's straining to me... like thin and nasally as opposed to his normal powerful/soulful singing

i'm often down on singles and then like the albums or vice versa if that's what you mean. i like to think i'm willing to change my mind or admit when i've been wrong but i dunno if something like what you're describing actually happens that often! unless jokes i make about artists i like just come off harsh, i guess. examples?
