Voting Super Furries.

Always amazes me the number of bands on Creation that I do not give a shit about at all. Definitely voting MBV by some distance, then House Of Love (all their Creation stuff), Slowdive (for Souvlaki, not fussed about the rest), Ride (debut album only), Bodines (for Therese), Swervedriver (couple of good songs, esp. Never Lose That Feeling), Sugar (for Beaster and about two songs off Copper Blue), then everything else. Telescopes I always think I like, and then I listen to them. Have been trying with those guys since 7th# Disaster, but alas no dice here.

Gimme 4AD any day btw

As much as I love some of these bands, none of them have given me the sheer volume of pleasure that Adorable's 2 albums and b-sides have. And continue to do so.

MBV, then Sugar. I love Felt too but my absolute favourite stuff by them was on Cherry Red.

Saint Etienne were a Heavenly band; having them here is like Patrick Viera being a club ambassador for Man City.

The Jasmine Minks and Razorcuts are both *very* vote-worthy, IMO... as is The Revolving Paint Dream just for the fact that they did 'Flowers In The Sky'...

^ this - Ride were kind of like a Frankenstein hybrid of all that was good abt the Creation roster, and I'm voting for them on that basis (even tho MBV is the obv frontrunner)

Ride and Boo Radleys have my favorite albums. I probably like the apparently much reviled Wake Up! the best (I'm from America, where nobody heard it) but would pick Ride overall.

The Boo Radleys are my second favorite band of all time!

Swervedriver is definitely my favorite from this list. I would also consider Sugar, but I think of them more as a Rykodisc band.

Hmmm, I have massive residual love for (especially) Primal Scream, Ride, Teenage Fanclub, Boos, and low-level longterm admiration for SFA, but I think MBV will win for me.

Voted Ride. What they released between January 1990 and March 1991 was awe inspiring and incredibly beautiful to me when I was 15.

Trying hard to think of a British guitar album from the 90's that is better than Nowhere.

Were they the only Creation band that the Kerrang! set could get into?

I mean at the time, not like "well, all these shoegaze black metallers love that stuff" line. I don't recall reading anything about most of this list in the UK metal press.

(reading list more thoroughly) I take that back: Sugar was adored by the metal press if I recall correctly. Who I will vote for because My Bloody Valentine and Jesus & Mary Chain will get enough votes without me contributing and "Copper Blue" remains one of the most-played albums in my life ever.

3 Colours Red also got coverage in Kerrang iirc, and I wouldn't be surprised if Swervedrier got reviewed in there either

Yes, Lilac Time are rather wonderful. The last album was the first subpar outting. New album "Lilac9" due this spring.

I missed this. I've really been enjoying the deluxe 3CD reissue of The House Of Love's first album and singles, so might have voted for them, though they are not historically my favorites. Also have enjoyed hearing Adorable and The Telescopes for the first time recently.
