Good ep so far. I nearly lost my shit when I saw them staging Maine Justice during the commercial break (upthread I claimed it was the best sketch the show had offered in years for the Jamie Foxx episode). It wasn't as good tonight, but I still love that entire premise and the lunacy it allows.

maybe i'll regret thinking this cuz i remember loving the californians the first couple of times they did it but i think they can really beat maine justice to death before i get sick of that premise, stoked to hear they brought it back. maybe it'll be like stefon or what's up w/ that where somehow i'm still not sick of it.

Stefon was on tonight too. Now I'm wishing they'd swung for the fences and done a What's Up With That as well, but maybe I'm being too greedy.

Very little of this episode has been funny.

i really hope taylor swift and i live long enough to watch the 100th season of this show.

I was not into Miguel's rework of "Adorn" AT ALL.

It's not as good as the recorded version, but I liked it anyway thanks in large part to Miguel's charisma and moves. It was better than that second #, the rearranged "Too Many Drinks" with the added sped-up hairmetal meets punk guitarwork, and Miguel slamming down the mic. Attention-getting at least

If that was my first experience with Miguel I wouldn't give him another shot. As it was it was my second experience.

Ian Rubbish sketch pretty much redeems everything else about this episode.

I really enjoyed it. Made pretty good use of his dickish, kinda Rat Pack energy and made me laugh a few times. Liked Ian Rubbish but also saw the twist coming a mile away and it never really killed.

Bill Grundy bit was gold.

Agree, except the Bizarros actually existed and were from NE Ohio, I had beef with that but I don't expect Fred Armisen to be cool enough to know about them.
