Nice to meet you, MaresNest!

Michael Jones, Monday, 1 April 2013 22:54 (eleven years ago) link

And you! & I hope I didn't spook you! I realised I've probably seen you at the UC before, I'm there most Saturdays recording the performances for the podcast and helping with the stage tech.

Had a roll needing developed for a while, nothing exciting but was a film (Lucky SHD100), developer (Kodak D76) and camera (an Olympus Trip 35 given to me by a colleague) that I hadn't used before so I'm pleased it all worked.

Love that first pic.

bizarro gazzara, Friday, 5 April 2013 12:41 (eleven years ago) link

Thanks, I was pretty happy with it!

Took this on phone today. I've hundreds of photos to go through from a memorial football tournament this morning, but my hard drive is full (coincidentally i bought a new one in preparation this afternoon but didn't expect it to happen so soon) and I can't do anything in Lightroom while 287GB of photos (i shoot RAW...) transfer. 4hrs.

Nice work, liking that!

I'm in the middle of Lightroom chimping the 2500 Holiday snaps from Japan that I took with my little Lumix two years ago, it's an epic adventure, not RAW files mind you, but it's still pretty decent what you pull out of a Jpeg.

Wow, what are we looking at in the top one?

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 13 April 2013 22:16 (eleven years ago) link

reflection of a tree in wet paving stones?

well if it isn't old 11 cameras simon (gbx), Saturday, 13 April 2013 22:41 (eleven years ago) link

Tree reflected in wet flagstones in Leicester Sq Gardens, flipped upside down and otherwise jazzed up in Camera+.

Ah...xp!

It's a bit of a revelation to me, having a semi-decent camera in my phone and a quite powerful and very speedy associated app. Obviously you can only push a JPEG snapped with a 15.5mm2 sensor so far before it starts to look hideous, but I'm amazed at how good the one-click treatments are on Camera+ (steering away from the vintagey nonsense).

This was snapped above my head through the window of the footbridge over the train tracks, two-click treatment, on FB ten seconds later. Sorry, I'm old, this sort of thing amazes me.

should've had morning coffee before posting, tbh :)

i'd plonk down real cash for an entire book of the world's fruit stands. really enjoy those instanbul shots.

How cute?

I hope it goes deeper, it doesn't look too safe.

Bad news -- I've been to check on them three times today and haven't seen a single one. Once was at 7am, so they could have been out and about, but they should be snoozing at home after lunch, right? I hope they just set up camp somewhere else. They were so tiny and cute!

I take it there's no way of deleting posts? I put the wrong image in the photowheel thread! (meant to use this http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaellambert/8276221872/)

I'm loving that thread. Grady's Tube train/tunnel echo on a vast natural scale!

It's an interesting test of my memory and Flickr tagging practices too (latter = mostly hopeless, as it turns out).

Michael Jones, Monday, 29 April 2013 08:33 (eleven years ago) link

that thread is the best thing to happen on ilx in awhile.

Clay, Monday, 29 April 2013 08:44 (eleven years ago) link

I have been enjoying too! I keep waiting for something to strike me, but in the meantime I am busy moving.
