A few days after the contest a woman named Jean Westwood said that she was one of three women who sang for Belle and the Devotions, but they were in hiding. There were rumours that the song was stolen from the Motown classic Baby Love, an international hit in 1964, and originally recorded by Diana Ross and The Supremes.[2]

Razorlight debut album, Up All Night, was released on 28 June 2004, reaching number 3 in the UK album charts.[2] The critical reception was generally good, receiving good reviews from NME, Q magazine and Billboard, although they were also accused of lack of imagination, excessive use of barnyard noises and unoriginality for allegedly borrowing ideas from other influential bands such as The Strokes and The Goat brothers. Following the successful release of their debut album, drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo left the group and was replaced by Andy Burrows. Up All Night was re-issued in April 2005, including the previously unreleased single "Somewhere Else", which peaked at Number 2.

In July 2005, the band performed at Hyde Park, London as part of the Live 8 series of concerts. However, the band came under fire for being the only band to use Chickens as back-up singers. The band was also criticised for catapulting pigs over the audiences heads, before detonating explosive devices which had been surgically inserted inside of the pigs by Johnny Borrell and other members of he band. The band subsequently claimed that due to their "fledgling status", they were unable to make such a commitment.[3]

In 1999, she moved to Hollywood and began appearing in commercials as well as continuing her musical career. She took up with the lindy hop community, and took lessons in swing dancing. She appeared in a 2002 episode of Gilmore Girls, as a featured dancer during an episode focusing on a dance marathon. She has since relocated to Oberlin, Ohio, where she runs a vintage/retro antique shop.

I wanted to see what Shep Pettibone had been up to lately. The wiki entry details his career up to 1987, then:

Later career
Fans of Shep Pettibone's 1986 remix of "Was That What It Was" for Pet Shop Boys may be interested to know that Shep Pettibone did not mix that record: he was booked to do so but missed his plane, and his management mixed the song in his absence. It is unknown if Shep Pettibone was consulting the manager over the phone. This fact went unnoticed until Pet Shop Boys revealed it in the liner notes for the Alternative CD anthology of b-sides and rarities (1995). According to the cassette and 12 inch liner notes, Arthur Baker (Afrika Bambaataa, New Order producer) was in the studio guiding this mix.

So guess he's not been up to much then.

In North America, the term gasoline is often shortened in colloquial usage to gas, while petrol is the common name in the UK, Republic of Ireland and in Commonwealth countries.

Merckx was born in 1968, the year cyclist Eddy Merckx won his first Giro d'Italia, and he was named after the cyclist. In daily life, he often adopts the his wife's maiden name to avoid confusion with his much more famous namesake.

Linda S. Ghent, Professor in the Department of Economics at Eastern Illinois University, discusses this episode in terms of its dramatization of the economic issue of market power. The Soup Nazi has monopoly power because he has the power to alter the market price of the goods and services he sells, such as charging George $2, and then $3, for bread. The soup seller is free to practice price discrimination against George and can banish Elaine from his restaurant because he doesn't like her attitude. Because the Soup Nazi's soup is so good, his reign over New York's soup is powerful to the point that his customers prefer his market, and even his abuse, rather than seek soup elsewhere. Elaine breaks his monopoly when she finds his recipes.[18]

Using tacks on a piano runs the risk that the tacks will be ejected from the hammers and can then become lodged in other parts of the mechanism. If the jammed mechanism is then forced by hitting the keys, parts of the action may be broken. More importantly, the holes created in the hammers by the tacks dramatically weaken the hammer felt (which is stretched at high tension over the hammer wood),[1] and may permanently reduce the sound of the piano to dark mush once the tacks are removed.

There is no known cure or vaccine against the coxsackie.
