if avery had not been utterly terrible in twenty minutes he would have played six!

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 11:56 (eleven years ago) link

okc is reminding me of the celtics whining for months after the perk trade, they just need to shut up and win a game, it's the freaking rockets, they're not that good yet

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 11:58 (eleven years ago) link

fish and thabo's fine amounts should be squared for that synchronized flop (and if that doesn't draw a flop fine i have no idea what would)

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 11:59 (eleven years ago) link

idk the thunder sans westbrook arent that different than the rockets, i really dont get not keeping harden this season

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:00 (eleven years ago) link

they def should have kept harden but that ship has sailed, but cmon they have the best player in the series and pretty much an draw with the big men and a supposed lockdown 3-and-D guy that houston is missing and lin is injured and it's the first round mang

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:04 (eleven years ago) link

hah man phil aint gonna coach nobody while lebron is in his prime, he would only come back for that guaranteed #12

the thunder play a bunch of guys that kind of suck

call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:06 (eleven years ago) link

yeah the thunder had a lot of problems covered up by having two top ten players, bad coaching, shaky roll players

bad coach playing shaky roll players

shaky mo roll coaches

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:12 (eleven years ago) link

one of their problems is that their coach is shakey mo

call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:14 (eleven years ago) link

better chance of coming back, c's or rockettes?

乒乓, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:15 (eleven years ago) link

idk same?

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:16 (eleven years ago) link

yeah its tough, rockets are younger but maybe a little more banged up.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:17 (eleven years ago) link

c's fans should all bring boxes of honey nut cheerios to game 6 btw

乒乓, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:17 (eleven years ago) link

rockets probably since it's conceivable they just have a three barrage in one game and it's always possible harden goes bonkers if he kicks the flu, but i wouldn't put anything past the c's or the knicks' ability to eff things up

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:19 (eleven years ago) link

also i actually agree the rox are closer in talent to thunder-minus-russ than they initially appear

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:21 (eleven years ago) link

ya the rockets maybe have a better chance since they were a legit good team for stretches this season and the thunder are wounded

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:22 (eleven years ago) link

and any coach playing derek fisher big minutes in year 2013 is straight crazy

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Thursday, 2 May 2013 12:22 (eleven years ago) link

nuggs then rockets then Cs though none are likely :(

i would obviously love to see all 3 win

OKC season: 1.12 points per possession (1st in the league). Concedes 1.02 (4th best).

Series:

Game 1: 1.18 PPP, 0.89 conceded.
Game 2: 1.09 PPP, 1.06 conceded.
(no Westbrook from then till now)
Game 3: 1.08 PPP, 1.04 conceded.
Game 4: 1.11 PPP, 1.13 conceded.
Game 5: 1.08 PPP, 1.16 conceded.

Offense looks OK. Defense not really ok.

moullet, Thursday, 2 May 2013 14:06 (eleven years ago) link

been kinda charming to watch mchale progress over the season from being very frustrated with a young group of players to being really proud of them. i dont think he initially had any interest in coaching such a young team, but i imagine when they start to, you know, learn things, it must be really satisfying as a coach.

Ya but rockets are a bad defensive team so okc should be scoring above their season average

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 May 2013 16:38 (eleven years ago) link

i believe that the statistics show that when asik is on the floor and it's half-court then they're actually pretty good. granted they are abysmal in transition.

Gosh, fellas! Did you all see that the Pacers are up 3-2 on the Hawks?! Well, didja?

Aimless, Thursday, 2 May 2013 17:29 (eleven years ago) link

Thanks for the update! Now that's enough Pacers & Hawks talk.

Indianapolitans agog with mildly pleasant feelings about this series. Atlantans are feeling slightly perturbed.
