heat spurs will be fun, not sure waht to expect since both sides engaged in benching wars during the regular season

should be interesting. heat def vulnerable to teams that can shoot the three, but spurs have trouble with athleticism

Mahinmi was the only pickup that has worked out-- dude has done a fantastic job on defense. He forces up a lot of bad shots but that's more of a function of an offensively awful 2nd team; if Granger were 6th-manning that unit, it'd be a much different story.

Augustin, Young and Green haven't lived up to expectation at all, though. Seems like Augustin really needs gameflow to play well, which isn't a good sign for your 2nd team pg. Young looked shook even in regular season games; and Green, ugh. Feel like he might have a secret problem w/ the intellectual side of the game -- offensive sets, defensive rotations, etc. One of the most athletic dudes in the league somehow devolved into a dude who just jacks 3pts until Vogel takes him out. idgi, he should be back-dooring people and throwing down lobs.

And eh, Plumlee was a bottom-of-1st-rnd pick who they didn't expect to really play this year. They got him to replace Jeff Foster, ie dude who can pick up a ton of rebounds, so it's way too early to really judge the pick. Even if he's gonna be a 18min/game junk player, he still has to be developed.

Also RIP Grizz, very unceremonious exit from the playoffs after a great run. Guess they have Conley/Zbo/Gasol locked in for a few more years; just need to resign Tony Allen (although they'll have to pay like 2X as much now), move some of their bench trash, get healthy, and finally make the full run in the next few years-- got a two year window.

if allen is going to be expensive i would definitely think twice about re-signing him. dude's just too much of a liability on offense

Ha Pacers already 10X more intense on D this game than they were all last game. Changing the seats from that black/white checkered pattern back to solid gold good move imo possibly a gamechanger.

Not to get fannishly hair-splitty, but those are more just over-reactions than flops-- dude just pulled back fast on both of them (both not really during gameplay). Don't think he was really looking to draw some call (he wasn't acting like he'd been hit afterward, writhing on the ground / holding his jaw or something).

Eh, it's one thing if it's during gameplay and/or is feigning real hurt / injury, and Lance wasn't really doing either. Like, he doesn't give the refs a talking to / look that says, "DUDE JUST HIT ME IN THE FACE HOW U NOT GONNA CALL A FLAGRANT??" Like, on both of those it's pretty quickly clear that nothing happened on either play.

not rly sure this is all that true anymore. kawhi and danny green get the lion's share of wing minutes and they are p athletic and good to great defenders.
