that looks terrific daniel. downloading it now - lots of favorites ánd the PSK1 edit of Mother Sky that I've been looking for for ages!! fruitlessly tried it on two ysi-threads. (could you, maybe, e-mail or ysi that edit to me?)

weekendsteve, Tuesday, 28 March 2006 08:03 (eighteen years ago) link

willem, Ill rip it at the weekend and YSI it over.
the PSK remix almost makes up for the sacriledge album which was pretty poor.
you could always cut it out the mix as I pretty much play the whole thing.
for a really great krautrock look for the optimo- sour kraut mix on P2P.

danny boy, Tuesday, 28 March 2006 09:25 (eighteen years ago) link

thanks danny. agreed about sacriledge, but in the context of tim sweeney's rvng#3 mix the unkle remix of "vitamin c" works nicely i think. i'll look out for that optimo-mix.

willem -- (willem), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 09:54 (eighteen years ago) link

the bladerunner mix of future days is a nice grower too, but its a sad day when a lavelle remix is the best of the album.

if they had just held out the release of sacriledge till everyone had forgotten about intelligent drum and bass.

maybe time for sacriledge 2???

http://www.neohz.com/mixes/1%20Percent.mp3

first mix i've ever recorded... track selection is a little "obvious" to those who consider 3 month old records "old", or Philip ;-P... but this is a demo of sorts, and i felt like i needed more hooks than most of the recent records i have bought provide... handmixed.

2. Alex Smoke "Wingnut" (Vakant)
3. Beese & Schmitz "Meander" (Liebe Detail)
4. Martin Landsky "Reject" (Poker Flat)

any mix that includes my my gets a full pass for any other excesses, and liebe detail gives you extra points, so i'd say you're safe. :)

Lil 'T, Thursday, 6 April 2006 18:38 (eighteen years ago) link

this is a mix i did as a promo thing for my night. a sonic flyer, sorta.
our night gets a lot of sorta trendy types and this is what they seem
to like to hear around here. i do feel a little confined by this style
sometimes, as i also like to play a lot of more straight up disco stuff,
but unless there's a bunch of 28+ people out, it rarely seems to go
over. i've never had any problem enjoying playing to the crowd though,
especially since i love all of these songs anyway.

don't know what the common thread here is other than that they're all fun songs.

hope you like.

Hi

I am not a professional, but I have known that there are the definite vulnerabilities in the work of some casinos, gambling-houses
you can make a profit
you can get a bonus in some casinos, so you give 100$ and you get 200$
so they attract clients
Following, I will describe a system how you can put 100$ or 1000$ and gain much more
You will follow this link http://overseek.be/search.php?q=casino (this is a list of casinos, where my system of cheat works) and you choose a casino you like
you put any sum of money, even 1$ in order to check my system
then you choose a roulette and you will cover with counters all the numbers exept one, so you win for the first time, all casinos do so in order to attract you.
Resist and take out your money, the sum will be two times more
I am telling you, as I gained a lot of money and some of casinos do not allow me to play

G'night

Good effort again, Dog Latin - the pitched up Cocteaus at the beginning seemed pretty apt for a lovely sunny Manchester day like today. That Royksopp remix is splendid too. Only reservation is the 96kbps encoding, is that just to save space? Most of it sounded fine, admittedly, but a couple of tracks seemed to lose something in the top end...

Cheers Bill, yes it was just to save space and upload/download time. I can upload or gmail you a 192kbps version if you like, or just send you the CD (I am admittedly crap at sending people stuff over the post as a lot of Ilxors will tell you). I'm surprised you mentioned the Cocteau Twins bit because I added it right at the end of constructing the mix and I was wondering if I'd jumped the shark a little, but if you like it then cool. Thanks for the feedback matey moo!

Very welcome D-L. Whilst I'm not surprised at the lack of Cocteaus action on more mixes, the spangly, propulsive nature of Blue Bell Knoll works real nice as yr intro. If you can YSI the 192kbps version it'll satisfy my cloth-ears all the more - if not I'll send you my gmail address via a secure channel.
