not really. '...polaris' was about nuclear war. i'm not even sure what 'orion' was about, given the lack of lyrics.

So Far, so Good... is actually my favorite Megadeth album, and I love Megadeth a lot. I was never bothered by the production or the cover, because the rest of the songs were so damn good. "Holy Wars" is one of my least favorite Megadeth songs, though. Never quite clicked for me.

Why does the remaster of Rust In Peace say "remixed and remastered" so prominently? How different is the mix?

very. it's super punchy

it sort of makes it sound like a clean and precise modern metal record but it kinda sucks the air from the room imo

Whatever the case may be, I listened to this version and liked it a lot. Even the bonus track "My Creation" is amazing. He's a much better singer than I expected too.

Surprised Mustaine hasn't been on Joe Rogan.

sorry it took me three years to answer this question but: no, not really, i don’t hate the megadeth remixes even though i prefer how the records originally sounded

Forgotten to mention Mustaine in the notes saying he wanted to change Marty Friedman's last name because it didn't sound metal enough, then added "Oy vey!"

Never liked the reissue of Rust In Peace. He also changed the words to some songs, since they had to rerecord the vocals since the original vocal tracks were lost or something.
