Martin, I have a tweed case (but it's not painted black).Fuck Roxy, I now have a song stuck in my head with alternate lyrics. (vis "I see a tweed case and I want to paint it black")
For the record I have two nice tweed cases which are not painted. I do, however, have a severely fucked up tweed case which was spraypainted more than once and is covered with stickers and was the model I had in mind when I made that post. I have a couple of those hard cases that were black to begin with too.
Um, and I think I own four gigbags. Possibly five. All except for one of them were simply included with the guitar (whether I bought it new or used). I mostly use them as dust covers for guitars sitting on stands in the studio.
Hm, Puffin, I feel sad for ye Mexistrat. But, as a Fender guy I value a Mexistrat more than an Epipaul, so there you go. (My favorite strat started life as a Mexistrat actually, but now it's, I dunno. I hybrid I guess. Other than the neck, body & frets, nothing on it is stock.)

Bass gigbags look even more ridiculous because they are so long. The only reason you should ever wear something that tall on your back is if you are hiking Mt. Everest or if your backpack actually involves thrusters and allows you to fly.

Oh believe me I know they take two 9V batteries. More headroom that way. The whole series of Performer pedals run on 18-20V supplies, which is brilliant. I've got a few of the original wall warts that came with them, and I've build a custom power supplies for those moronic 1/4" power jacks.
So, yeah, the 545 Filter is one of the few I don't have a nice specimen of. I have two of them, one of which is a serious beater and one which is both a serious beater and doesn't work. It lives in the gargantuan pile of pedals I haven't yet gotten around to diagnosing and fixing.
