I have to say, I recently re-watched all of season 1 on netflix and half of season 2 on hulu, and it's held up really well, all these years later. I mean, it's even funnier than I remember. I think it's hilarious, smart, edgy etc, I think it's the best sitcom in a long time and I think it's stature is going to grow as more people realize how goddamn good it is, and more people are going to start calling frittatas "egg pies".

yeah fatsuit jokes are rmde but they do manage to show the sweetness under the surface of schmidt there as well as the crazy insecurity that led to the douchebag he is today

you know, i actually felt bad for that character. i'm glad the show didn't make him a total monster, jerk, nerd, etc.

Almost done rewatching the first two seasons and I have to say...it's just funnier and funnier. This will go down as one of the great sitcoms of all time.

premieres tonight. This show gives my life meaning.

it's the details. Like when Cece tells the story of losing her virginity to Mick Jagger and Schmidt screams "Beatlemania, Beatlemania".

The way they've mastered having 4 people talking at once each telling a different joke.

i'm pretty excited for the premiere tonight, probably my current favorite sitcom. i'm glad at least one i really like seems to be a decent enough ratings hit. i'm still not over happy endings going away.

Nice for New Girl to at least have an arc where there isn't just one token black character, but two pretty hilarious ones. At least Winston is to some degree. Coach obv never got a chance to spread his wings.

Some great stuff tonight. Held up.

i thought it was decent, though clearly more effort was set up resolving the cliffhanger and setting up this season, which is fine. so much better than that terrible samberg show.

I thought samberg show coulda been much worse. It's not great, but it had some ok lines.

the rest of the cast wasn't bad, but samberg pretty much ruined it for me. his whole, "lookit me! i just made a HILARIOUS joke" smirk bothered me so much more than it ever did on snl.

Better than the new Mindy Project though I'm not sure that's high praise

this show's fine. they just added s2 to netflix so we watched like 4 eps last night. do they ever give winston a real plotline? also why does everyone make a big deal about schmidt when nick is clearly the funniest character?

Winston definitely gets fleshed out, and he gets something of a plotline or two but it's usually the b-plot. Definitely feels like he forced in there at times, no matter how fleshed out he gets. But he's a good enough character and has enough good lines/parts that it doesn't bother me.

feel bad for that dude. he's a funny actor but his character really gets shafted. we watched the one last night where he's bad at pranks, he was great.

that episode is a Winston tour-de-force

(though technically that line was delivered by kid-actor winston)

his general prank thing of taking things too far. "Let's stab him...with a knife" or whatever, is hilarious. He was great in the latest episode with the puzzles and the color-blindness.

i didnt really know how i was supposed to feel when they all got away with forgetting winston's bday

This show is kind of like "Moonlighting" in that it got boring quick as soon as the "will they, won't they" suspense was over.

I'll give it more than one episode to decide if that's the case.

Well, it's been kind of obvious for a while that they were getting together, hasn't it? It seems like the suspense has been gone since midway through last season.

I really enjoyed there flirting and on again off again weirdness last season, and again this past week. Not sure where it will go. Read that the writers are thinking more along the lines of Jim and Pam and Leslie and Ben instead of Sam and Diane or Ross and Rachel.

Winston really needs his own show. Schmidt can come. but only if he ditches the love interests.

Well, no, obviously. But wifey seems so nice. Actually she can do better, losing Schmidt won't be so terrible for her, because she doesn't need to be with someone. But if you ask me who I would rather spend (platonic) time with the answer wouldn't be Cece.

That scene with Winston, Schmidt and Cece was VERY well choreographed. Lamorne Morris was killing it whenever he was in the background of those shots.

Also Winston wearing a hoodie as pants.

Winston is so fucking funny, it's criminal

(I finally saw the S2 finale this week and every thing he did slayed me)

I love that he is this secret weapon the show can break out whenever they need guaranteed laughs.

i prefer the kilborn daily show i think its the best one
