Took my Leica M8 to New York. Looking back I found it incredibly hard to capture things without any a) flags, b) cabs, c) generally yellow stuff and d) animals suddenly pushing their way into the picture. Apart from that: fab city.

I do feel like such an amateur when I see how much colour, detail and incident you folks pack into the rectangle. Sometimes I think my problem is that I wait for life to exit the frame before I shoot. Like I wait for stuff to just *settle* and then there's not much left other than geometry and texture.

hey rent, thank you, i shoot everything with an om-1 w/a zuiko 50mm 1.8 lens, i guess this was just that on like 400 speed film at like 250, ~2.8. like you underplaying your nice phots w/pretty photogenic spots, i think the light was just nice. i have a cellphone pic of the same tree that illuminates how nice being able to control depth of field is in contrast.

That cat eyeing the fish up is gorgeous, great set of shots.
