we had a declawed cat when i was a kid in the 70's and i loved that cat and that cat would DESTROY other cats at night. because the other cats would just do that lame not-so-serious crying and batting their paws fighting thing but our cat overcompensated with teeth. so, other cats mostly stayed away from him. he was the best hunter though. rabbits, snakes, woodchucks, everything and anything on our front doorstep. so, i think it really does do something psychologically to a cat. they want to prove their badass catness even more when you take their awesome claws away.
