does anyone give a shit about the iPad getting thinner? I put my last one in a thick case because it's more comfortable to hold that way.

The original one feels like a brick, but I think the weight matters more. Still think the mini is the perfect size tho

tbh the reason I love my wife's IPAD MINI is the thickness (so much missed salaciousness there btw)

a larger, lighter iPad might entice me to switch over to reading all of my scores electronically if someone gives me one as a gift (my mini was a gift, otherwise I would still be iPadless)

I used my 17" mbp as a LAPtop this weekend for the first time in, I dunno, a year? (main machine is a retina 15" mbp now) and wow it felt boxy & silly & thick & uncut & oh wait

I occasionally sing with a dude who puts his music on his iPad and he has had to bail out of using it for concerts because it's about 5 times as heavy as any physical score we would be holding and there's no space in the choir area to put a stand. Making it lighter makes sense; I just don't see why they have to rebrand it as "iPad Air" rather than just saying "btw the new iPad weighs a pound, yr welcome" and calling it a day

I was given wifi+mobile and it's pretty great

i got wifi, when I need mobile I use hotspot from my phone. Has been fine.
