The idea of improved battery life is very appealing

it's like a 10% increase in battery life in the best possible circumstances. i doubt you'll see a huge improvement on a machine so old it's still running 10.6.

right, i'm just saying 10% is the theoretical upper limit improvement in battery life you will see, and with a non-new computer you will likely see less.

You need to download it separately from the App Store. It's available now if you search for it, but it's not on the front page yet.

what you're buying w/ ipad isn't just apple tax, it's also build quality and knowing you're going to get OS updates for years to come, android stuff is flashy and whizzbangy but often cheap and subject to premature obsolescence imo

apple's got so stagnant that i forgot this was even happening
