Personally I think the Tories have gone mad, and that goes for the Mayor and the rightwing press and everybody else involved. I think the most distressing thing about this speech is, despite being probably one of the most unabashedly fascist public statements I've read from a mainstream politician in years, that because it's tumbling out of the mouth of fuzzy Boris bear it's going to get people laughing and nodding or dismissing it as 'a bit of fun'. Boris frightens me. I think he's one of the most dangerous people in the UK political sphere today.
