fully leveled spidey has a two ap blue web stun that is basically the endgame attack

so basically: 2 blue matches = 3 turn stun

Spidey's stun stacks with more with each web tile on the board (+1 web tile placed per stun, stun 1 turn per web tile already on the board) so it gets into a pretty sick self-loop. if they up it to 4AP i think it'd be fine

i'm guessing they'll tone down the dmg on the feral claw strike tiles, at a certain point they get ridic. Ragnarok is broken as all hell so it's about time, i'm agree

i'm still IM40. i'm tempted to go with Mags NOW! or O-Black Widow soon. i can buff some more 2/3* characters but i feel like, why bother if i can't get them to at least Lvl 85?

read: still lvling IM40 - currently at 109. i could complete him with a blue card, but i really want to get recharge to 5 cards.

all the characters kinda suck at 2/2/2 and below - i can see him being a true beast at high levels

looking at the forum, the one big plus I see with him over 2 star Wolvie is his hp total at max: almost 10,000!

got my 5th blue spiderman. really enjoying his stun while it lasts.

Fellows, when the PvP events are your only ( reliable ) source of HP, did you just try to chip away at the 50 HP reward level until you got your 2* and 3* characters leveled up? Because the amount of angst I had from trying to stay in the 100 HP tier is kind of unbearable.

Are you using HP to upgrade your characters? I'm just stockpiling it for roster slots, still, and now for shields at the end of a tourney.

not completely in agreement with that (my 25th spot hosting a bagman l6 is not so valuable) but yeah, that's mostly right, esp. as they introduce new characters

ARGH touched the wrong button in my rewards list, accidentally upgraded my Spider-Man Classic to 4 Purple. goddamnit.

his purple isn't bad too really. its just the blue is killer. amazing the difference between 4ap and 2ap for it.

No, I'm definitely not using HP for anything except for roster slots. Still, despairing as hell trying to scrounge around for it (I'd been trying to grind my way to 1000 SHIELD points in Versus to get that 100 HP reward, only to face the proverbial 2 steps forward, 1 step back situation).

don't sweat it too much. at a certain point you'll have powerful enough characters that you'll place midway through weekly tourneys and get HP all the time. you should be able to pick up a bunch from the story mission rewards that come up, like The Hunt right now, as well. just don't get rid of any 3* or better cards, everything else you'll get plenty of opportunities to get again.

Spent a couple of my heroic tokens, now I have a 4* Wolverine, and a C Magneto on deck.

Tempted to sell Wolverine BTW for that delicious 50 HP.

Also, the Hunt is convincing me to put some effort into Cap, because one you get enough red or blue AP, those abilities are do some nice damage or stun, PS you recoup most of the AP.

I kind of think that having one of every damn character is not necessary. kind of thinking I'm going to purge some of my 1-star ones as I get more options

Ares is 2*, you'll have plenty of chances to grab him later

So I maxed out my first character, astonishing wolvie. Wondering where I should focus next. Next tier is Thor 61, Original BW 50, classic storm 41, Modern BW 40, IM35 33, Modern Storm 32, Daken 31.

Thor is the usual next choice, though they'll probably reduce his power sometime soon they say. OBW + wolvie is mighty (if you have at least 4 black). After that I'd do either modern storm or daken.

i would say wait to see how the Thor nerf shakes out, but since you've already gone all the way up to 61 with him you might as well finish him off while he's still great

Personally I truck hard with M Storm, once you get enough green to activate her power, it almost sets up a self-sustaining juggernaut of board-clearing destruction. AND, if you have 5 black, then each turn giving you another 150+ damage is so so sweet.

I avoid using m storms black power because it screws with my perception of the shapes and I miss matches.

playing this notably less; i have 25 medpacks. there was a time they would've all been burnt. they need a new tourney more than new covers at this point; starting to feel a bit stale.

seems to me like making new tourneys would be super easy compared to the work with developing and balancing a new character; we'll have to wait until the weekend to see, but i'm guessing it'll be a week AFTER this version of The Hunt ends that we'll see a new set of tourneys/story missions

do you still bother using Daken? i have him up to 55, not sure i want to bring him up to 69. same thing with my modern hawkeye, stalled him at 45, don't have the stomach to take him to 85. Classic Spidey's getting most of my ISO at this point

yeah, i've mostly skipped daken now except as a backup character if thor is ailing. i'm seeing the benefit of modhawk, especially in this tourney. If i could get a few more spiderman covers i would absolutely use him.

daken/wolverine/thor is good for the midrange game; i'm wanting to take the next step and I'm pretty sure that's a blue/purple offensive/defensive to go with thor's red/yellow and wolverine's green. for now, that's modhawk, after this tourney it will be og black widow and if ANY covers come in i'd certainly like to cycle in spidey.

not sure how much further to level him? this thread was my main reason for leveling him; he seems underpowered to me but this thread was hype about him, but now maybe that's receding?

I def shouldn't have slept on hawkeye modern, that blue blast is fierce. & not just b/c of the buff.

def need a blue/purple backup to whoever I have tanking, so tired of feeling like purple matches are a waste

daken's great early on, but his usefulness peters out once you get your wolvie maxed. he was also key in the dark avengers tourney. i'd go with obw over modern hawkeye.

is cap a legit tank when heavily levelled? or more of a solid second stringer?

wtf is with the "we powered up these characters for this tourney!" meaning that my hawkeye is normally under 1000 hit points but he has like 4k when the level loads
