What's your planned Punisher build? 5 red obviously but I'm not sure between black and green.

went 5 black on the assumption i'd pair him with a strike tile generator. when i've had to play him without wolvie, really wish it was 5 green.

i kinda see the negatives more than the positives of both options
black - mass attack seems negligible and the generator is too slow to be that great
green - random board blow ups ruin any strategy with tile-based teammates, strike tile isn't that strong

the level 5 generator goes down to one turn, so its way more reliable. and strike tiles really boost the mass attack.

I know I'm way behind you guys but I am quite pleased that I just got three OBW covers and can take mine to 30 now

I got my ~first~ Rag cover, ever, from a Divine Champs draw. Had to sell my fully leveled Jugs, will miss that big lug. ~tear~

Somehow I redeemed a Heroic token and got Invisible Woman? first four star for me, but I have no idea how I'll get more covers or level her.

Eventually you'll come in first in an event, duh!

Last-minute rush placed me perfectly to get 3 OBW covers from the tourney. Happy. Wonder if it's better to build her 3/5/5, or 4/4/5? (I already have 5 black covers.)

Aggressive Recon (Purple) is decent, but to me the real money's in Anti-Gravity Device (Blue) for the healing + countdown delay abilities. I ended up going 4/5/4 (Purple/Blue/Black) as the covers came to me. You may consider going 3/5/5 with either, as the level 5 versions of Purple and Blue are much better than 3 or 4.

I got my first Rag and **** Wolverine covers from heroic tokens. woo. I just need Classic Magneto, Patch and Invisible Woman now. Oh and Daredevil, I guess.

I went 3/5/5 with OBW and I think that's the best build. Aggressive Recon levels raise the AP cost, and I think the lower levels are actually a bit better, since you can get to 6-8 AP sooner and more often.

So, the rubberbanding missions are kind of broken. Just retreat or have characters die and they become easier. When you can use the super-powered Patch, you don't even need any other characters to win.

i was wondering if i was going nuts. the Deadly/Impossible missions ARE changing difficulty before my eyes

Yeah, that's annoying. THe one thing I liked about the missions was that I would have a string of at least 5 to 7 that I could just pound through and get a lot of iso.

Lucked out with a purple OBW cover from a standard token, putting me at 3/3/5 for now. I'll hold out for a couple more blue covers.

Nothing like waking up to see that I've lost 150 points overnight in the PVP tournament.

Finally pulled a Punisher cover, but no room plus I have a Doom cover coming in soon.

Does Patch look worth building up? Once they debug him, he's not going to be overwhelmingly awesome from all appearances, no?

i think he'll still be pretty great -- just require really thoughtful play.

3 open slots; starting to think that if they keep throwing new characters out I'm gonna be ultimately forced to buy some coins.
Finally got Invisible Woman on a heroic draw so that's a complete roster short of daredevil who I assume I'll pull at the end of the current tourney. I am at #1 by about 40 points on the scotland yard run; would be great to pull the three patch covers as that gives me an excuse to not fight so hard on the next round. Not so into the punisher pvp fights; just too hard to crack the top 45. Working on primarily leveling OG Black Widow along with a handful of favorite and new guys (ares, punisher, doom, hood, patch, spidey) as I get them new covers. Then Classic Storm I guess, though I think i'm late to the game for her.

having a rough time on those scotland yard missions due to the difficulty spikes. are you getting through those final missions (lvl 230) or just ignoring them?

I'm powering through them with minimal trouble honestly. OGBWidow/Thor/Wolverine with +20%Dark Avenger Damage/+3 all/+3 red and yellow buffs lets me knock out juggernaut fairly quick and then it's just about chipping away and replenishing wolverine's claw attacks and cockblocking the yellow and red matches from the ai

OBW/Thor/Wolv is my A squad too.

burned through most of my boosts on the punisher tourney (just to get a bunch of Thor cards, bleh) but ok, i'll try that combo

Astonishing Wolverine is so brokenly OP at the moment, it's both awesome and ridiculous

nothing quite like building up 10 strike tiles so every match hits for over 1.5K and then using his red strike to one-shot the opposing tank

I think I have decided not to bother with this; hit a ceiling which I either can't get covers to improve higher * characters and can't get through with high level/low * ones. SHIELD training just offers me vs three characters at levels between 50 and 75 for under 20 points, and if I stop grinding to make a cup of tea or go to the toilet or sleep I start again to find I've been attacked for (whatever gains I made during the last heal-pack heavy session) -3 leaving me barely better off than where I started.

love when i get all 3 of his yellows to pop, pretty much an auto heal + slash from obw / wolvie

also i have been reaaallllllly tempted to aim for that 6-10 spot in the PVE matches, heroic x3 looks nice, but i am like convinced that i'll just get 3 wolv**s or something

it's hard for me to keep my rosters straight since I have different lineups on my phone and iPad; iPad has a lvl 85 Astonishing Wolvie and phone is mostly full of scrubs (highest char is... lvl 56 Cap? who I mostly use to take out opponent's timer/strike tiles)

aldo: these story missions are the ones to hit when you can't do the tourneys
basically you gotta grind for recruit tokens. forever. Here's my current drop rate:
1* - 243 (82.37%)
2* - 43 (14.58%)
3* - 9 (3.05%)

Between the story missions and lightning tourneys (where you just need to fight twice to get a recruit token) it's easy to keep getting those tokens, but time consuming. but you wanted that iso anyway, right?

will: i'm sitting on an almost maxed out IM40, i want to push his Yellow to 5 cards, so good

I feel like once I get IM40's Recharge to 5 cards, I will be invincible in story missions at a bare minimum

he's pretty awesome, but like Cap, largely an HP soak/AP charger since you won't get too attacks out for a long time. Even the Yellow ability increases cost at each level, so you need a lot of Yellow matches before that hits

Yeah I was actually thinking of keeping the yellow lean for that very reason. Might change my mind if I actually GET more of his covers tho b/c *** = take what I can get

nah, because Thor's special attacks are so good (for now). Thor is an offensive machine, all you need is the 6 red AP to start off a yellow > green loop. he has no real weaknesses at this point

it's all dependent on tile placement, though; maybe it's just because he's sitting in the mid-60s for me right now (I think 63?) but whenever I try to launch a Thor chain, I just end up setting up the board for my opponent to do an amazing cascade

the real trick is to actually store up 12 red or more, so you get at least two of those off, you're guaranteed at least one free yellow match/cascade

yeah, that makes sense; I'm still mostly building my offense around Astonishing Wolvie's green-red combo so I never really exercise Thor

it's also fun loading up on blue tiles with Spidey and rolling stuns on the opposing team
