See if you paid attention instead of calling me ridiculous, you would know.

(Round the corner/up the street from the 13th Note)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 3 October 2005 21:26 (eighteen years ago) link

Oh, you're talking about the 500 club! I am ridiculous, and do not pay attention.

It's next to the Three Judges in that swanky new block where the Volcano used to be.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 3 October 2005 21:26 (eighteen years ago) link

swanky new block, the one you can see, from byres road

where 4|21|< lived?

RJG (RJG), Monday, 3 October 2005 22:11 (eighteen years ago) link

The covers.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 3 October 2005 22:17 (eighteen years ago) link

the fear

come to think of it, I saw a sign, for the 500 club

that block would an "s" short of "swanky", if "wanky" meant "bad"

RJG (RJG), Monday, 3 October 2005 22:27 (eighteen years ago) link

Yo Neil. I see you've joined in the try Glasgow more thread! Settled in OK?

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 08:47 (eighteen years ago) link

I am unnerved by the requirement for a deposit.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 09:21 (eighteen years ago) link

I'm going!

scotstvo (scotstvo), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 09:23 (eighteen years ago) link

I may come along. When do I need to decide by?

hmmm (hmmm), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 09:33 (eighteen years ago) link

HI DERE I PO8====DING FROM GRASSGROW

HP3NCi1, Tuesday, 4 October 2005 11:17 (eighteen years ago) link

The deposit is now paid. PJ, the need for a deposit is because it is a wee place and if we made them reserve lots of tables then never showed up they would be turning away lots of business.

Hmmm, they said it would be OK if another couple of folk showed, though I guess a final number by Thursday evening to phone ahead and confirm would be OK.

RJG, 500 Club looks wanky, but it's nice. I forgot about the existence of 4r1|

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 19:40 (eighteen years ago) link

Oh, bugger the crappy HTML-interpreting thing that gets rid of half my sentence. Anyway, 4r1k, I forgot about him, despite having been talking about him the other day for some reason I can't really remember now.

Also, FAP before food? 13th Note? I will be going home to get changed after work, back in for about the back of seve, probably.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 19:47 (eighteen years ago) link

i Tried Cobalt More today, in the footsteps of RJG and N. I think my hair's now too cool for my head. but at least it smells nice.

(have fun on Fri everyone, I'm working even later than usual so won't see you)

stet (stet), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 19:48 (eighteen years ago) link

oh, I thought someone said you were available

I will leave the plans, to continue to be made. it seems to be going swimmingly, so far

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 19:59 (eighteen years ago) link

Plans are made. Table booked for ten.

Those ten are:

Me

preferably around the st. vincent place & buchanan st. area

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 21:46 (eighteen years ago) link

Bar 91?
The Brunswick Hotel Bar?
Republic Bierhalle?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 21:51 (eighteen years ago) link

I don't know. Those are probably rubbish suggestions. I don't know anything good.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 21:52 (eighteen years ago) link

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 22:19 (eighteen years ago) link

there's a nice cafe called cafe wander on west george st. the otherwise scary revolution bar across from the odeon is usually very quiet at lunch and does surprisingly good and cheap food (tho limited menu)

dahlin (dahlin), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 22:20 (eighteen years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 22:38 (eighteen years ago) link

Up with the larks, eh, Keith?

OK, I will let them off about the deposit. They seem like a nice bunch.

Dap-Kings maybe comes from Dap-Walk. We are not the wiser.

see you friday

Do I amble? I never realised. I probably don't notice anyone when I amble.

I am going to the wedding of someone I don't know on Friday. I will try eating in Glasgow if it happens again.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 6 October 2005 08:51 (eighteen years ago) link

I want to see photos of this picture of Chris Tarrant.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Thursday, 6 October 2005 09:26 (eighteen years ago) link

I will try to remember to take one.

(I was telling Al: this reception is in a Masonic Hall that has a picture of Her Majesty The Queen at one end and a picture of King Rubberfaced Twat at the other).

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 6 October 2005 09:40 (eighteen years ago) link

I will not be able to make it I'm afraid. Thanks for thinking of me. I'd very much like to come but I have an amusingly large amount of stuff on at the moment. Next time...

hmmm (hmmm), Thursday, 6 October 2005 09:57 (eighteen years ago) link

x-post

You definitely amble, Onimo - sort of a "got-all-the-time-in-the-world-nothings-that-important" type of amble. Its rather feaching, a modes of walking go.

I would like to see a picture of both pictures if possible - sort of a scan from Tarrant to the Queen. Take a video camera.

Guilty Boksen (Bro_Danielson), Thursday, 6 October 2005 10:31 (eighteen years ago) link

I've just remembered, doesn't Stacey get notification emails when someone posts to this thread?
