Seriously wondering why there hasn't been a series of webisodes devoted to the guest judges clowning backstage.

It's the little touches that make this show an endless joy. The pitch shift on "How in the HELL you gonna love somebody else" was sick.

An interesting and slightly frustrating part of the show for me is whenever they juuuust touch a little deeper into questions of stereotyping on several fronts but can't go too far without derailing the episode format (so that always makes me wonder what else was left out via editing). Last night had two instances at least -- Bianca telling Trinity how to act and Trinity going "Oh, so you mean like a black girl" and then critiques on how April was supposed to play 'butch.' It's always played for laughs and/or SHADE but it's obviously not just that.

bianca's easily the best IMO

xps I can only hope the show presumes some level of built-in sensitivity to these issues. Another one: Vivacious being treated as a piece of history and, consequently, a relic.

Yeah, Bianca is in the clear. I worry that both Ben and Milk are going to eat her dust. The latter, in particular, hasn't made anywhere near the mission statement I feel she intended to make.

I think now that the two groups are mixed up a bit it'll take a little longer for people to reemerge. And sometimes it takes a while anyway -- nobody was thinking Jinkx was anywhere near the front last year until Snatch Game kicked in.

I'm interested to see how far Milk goes. I still have my eye on Courtney but I don't know if she's as all-that as I want her to be. We'll see.

When Bianca asked Adore what her name was, I thought it'd have been hilarious if Adore replied, "Willam."

Racial approaches have been very ~iffy~ on this show for a while (S3 was difficult for me to watch in large part because of this), and I was thoroughly uncomfortable during the first Bianca/Trinity exchange where B said T should act ghetto.

Mm. It's definitely of note whenever it overtly surfaces, and you have to wonder what isn't said/shown.

On a lighter note, I think we're all underappreciating Gia's moment where she doesn't know how to pronounce DeLorean or what it is. (But then again, she was born in 1988 or 1989, why WOULD she know?)

Also, I always lol furiously at the trainwreck performances (like Yara's Winehouse or Lynesha's "French fries"), so Vi's head-in-a-box entertained me to no end.

Alright I thought the Rusical was briliant ! Lucian did an amazing job and surprisingly so did all the girls. Although Ben was my favorite.
I'm sad to see April go so soon cause she's had some great looks. In past seasons, there are way worse queens that stuck around for much longer.

i still can't stand Adore but damn if she polished her shit up & stopped acting like a 13 year old she could be a showstopper

I was really moved by Laganga's moment with her parents in untucked. Really beautiful. I hate to say it though but her whole tantrum afterwards was just ugh bitch please. They didnt fuck it up, she did. She wouldnt have been happy unless they threw a telethon in her honor

Lucien's musical was fab, lots of fun! I thought the girls did a good job with it!

Trinity definitely needs to...settle a bit. That's not slow burn, that's just not stepping up. That said, hell of a lip sync for your life, best of the season so far.

And yeah the musical was fun! Courtney and Adore sure can sing, it was kind of a tossup in the end for me. Did like the fake award ceremony camera editing touches there.

Gia Gia Gia. The bit with the photos of kabuki as a kid was really lovely! A little background and a little more depth. But then she doesn't know what the Tonys are and THEN she complains about ignorance in the Untucked? (Unless the editing intentionally left detail out.)

I think Trinity has a bit of that Jiggly Caliente thing of beating herself before she's even started. Like she's so focused on the 'can't' that she can't see anything else and won't accept any help or support from anyone to get where she could easily be

And the girl needs to speak up for herself - Rupaul knew that the flippers might have been a problem for her, it probably would have helped her a little in the judges eyes if she had said it too

Girl is gorgeous, she just needs a truckload more confidence in herself.

And yeah, this season seems crazy front-loaded with acting/talent challenges over runway.

I'm a touch surprised Snatch Game is a little earlier than it normally is.

Yeah. A bigger panel hopefully equals a longer time spent on the actual game.

Also, I too would find it very difficult to, er, perform with Lucian flashing grins at me from offstage.

I haven't watched the Untucked episode yet, where maybe her preggo runway look gets some actual screentime/explanation, but I'm just starting to feel bad for Milk now that nothing she can do seems to be currying favor with the show editors.

April. :( Things have gotten less fishy. :( :( Definitely think that she would've gone farther in previous seasons, when the show put more emphasis on fashion.

Agree w/ Veggggg that Laganja's spotlight grabbing was nagl (what was agl was that runway look, good god). Also agree with Nedrick about Trinity. I mean, for all of her insecurity, she's done well! Like, her acting in the previous episode turned out fine, and so was her singing this episode! Maybe that's just her process: freak out, lash out, turn out.

I do wonder how much of Gia's schtick is a put-on simply to get screentime, esp. considering her defensiveness about getting called ignert. (But then, actually being dumb could also explain said defensiveness.)
