3 open roster spots, 375 hp, 2500 or so iso
Feeling a bit like i may have lost my way with this transition to three star characters as I don't really have a cover maxed out 3 star ready to work with. Instead, I'm levelling characters with tourney boosts to better maximize their strengths and taking half steps towards prepping for the moment when i land that fabled spidey/hulk covers

so instead i have 21 guys at level 40 or higher and still don't really have a go-to A team. it's frustrating a little.

i guess i could work on having several more maxed out characters for the ones that i DO have all the covers for? but that feels real pointless.

I'm stuck at this point where I either need to get rid of max'ed *'s or an unleveled ***. It sucks. My max *'s are still pretty helpful and my ***'s are basically useless unless they're buffed.

forks, my A-team is OBW/whoever/whoever. Slightly less facetiously, I just bring someone with a strike tail ability, either Daken or Wolverine.

poly, I've read some guides saying that when your roster is firmly 1*, that you might as well sell 3* covers, because they'll be of no use to you for a long time. I'm not sure if that advice still holds, esp. since they don't sell for HP anymore, but because the transition to 3* is now ~very~ slow, I can attest that all of my 3* covers still aren't used unless they're buffed/required.

I'm still having joy with CStorm/MagNow and whoever, AstWolv plus someone for a backup team. AstWolv surprisingly good with Daken.

I wouldn't say my roster is FIRMLY 1*. My highest **'s are in the 50s. And the ***'s are very helpful if they happen to be required for the current tourney (like Black Panther now).

Which 1*s do you have?

Yelena is an easy call: sell.
Venom is only good if you have Spider-man with a lot of blue covers.
C. Hawkeye and IM35 will never be used once you transition to 2* characters.
Juggernaut: possibly keep, just because he can scare attackers off in PvP.
M. Black Widow has a good stun, so keep her for now.
Keep M. Storm, she is awesome even much later on.

2* M. Hawkeye is pretty bad, you don't want him. IM40 is a 3* character so it'll probably be a while before you get him. I'd sell off one of IM35 or C. Hawkeye, your choice.

So you'd get rid of a character you're actively using over a character like, I dunno, Loki, who I have yet to use even once?

Hmmm, Loki is pretty bad. Tough call but I think I'd still sell a 1*.

forks, i say pump iso into IM40. I know he's kind of a boring character, but tankin's tankin' and you have plenty of good 2*s on your roster

OTOH, i've been doing exactly what you've been doing, dribbling out iso to characters here and there, largely based on who's buffed, like Ares or Psylocke in the last round. (i think the devs want you to do this anyway) Main target right now is a capped to 128 GSBW, currently at 98. I can also pump Hulk but it feels unnecessary with a Punisher MAX in my roster already, or I can pump a bunch of 3* guys to 50-70 which largely feels unsatisfying

"Lvl 120" Black Panther is kinda goofy to use

It takes so much luck/effort to get a 3* (though less now, thanks to Alliances) that I would never sell a non-dupe. but i don't know, it also seems harder to get HP now than it used to, when they were given out as sub-event mission rewards in like The Hulk chapter or whatevs

I've got 67 standard tokens. tempted to wait to 100, pop them all and see how many 3*/4*s i get.

if those 4 are the choice, then Hawkeye. I think he's definitely the worst of those 4, and the thing about 1* guys is that you can get a shit-ton of 1* tokens in this game so it should be relatively easy to get him back again if you ever wanted to (although you'd lose any leveling you've put into him).

On the other hand, Loki does seem to suck (although I don't have him).

You could also sell off a lame 2* - I ended up selling off my precious 4-cover Bagman, I've also sold off Bullseye like 3 times now.

Ok so yeah, I'd say either Hawkeye or Bullseye (or Ares who seems kinda lame to me, but I've never had him)

Ares is really good, do not sell him. Super-powerful green and yellow attacks.
With a level 52 Thor you can easily toss IM35 or Hawkeye.

Agree w/ the Hawk/Bullseye advice, they should be the first ones to be trimmed from your roster when you need a slot. For now, go ahead and get rid of Hawkeye; once the PVE is over, Bullseye will be expendable.

People seem to be down on DD -- I haven't used him extensively -- but the Hood apparently has some utility.

Ares is terrific. A bit suicidal but more useful than that fucker Juggsy, at least at the levels they'll let us use him.

I cannot beat Jugs/Fat Thor/moonstone on the harder simulator. No matter what team I put out there or how much I boost.

I find the Hard ladder missions to be nearly impossible after Day 1, not counting the special character require missions that have less scaling (like right now the BP missions)

2* Wolvie and Thor are still good blue chippers IMO, all around good and often buffed in tourneys, max them out** though maybe look into the scaling effects; I think the tourney scaling depends entirely on your #1 character lvl

Sell whatever 1* you have put the least iso into; you'll get so many more cards of them via tokens. Even Bullseye at 2* is a lot rarer in comparison

Hood really needs that Blue power to be good, the other powers are meh
I still really like the gameplay style of DD, but a) I need a blue cover and b) you have to change your game to force the AI to make environment matches or specific color matches, opposite of normal play

We're just outside the top 100 in the sim, bros; but I had to miss most of yesterday & today because of RL such bullshit but I hope to get us back on track.

Ha, beat them on the 1st try. OBW/Magsnow/Thor. Buff +3 blue/purple, +3 red/yellow, +3 all colors. Go for purple, magsnow, get criticals, eventually set off a chain of Thor's yellow then green, heal when necessary from all the blue you get from Mags purple. Save your red and one shot kill whoever is left with Mags red.

BUT OMG THE SCALING, some of the fights on the Hard ladder are 200+ now. at least there's only one more round to go

gah lost my a-team (patch & spidey) and out of heals. b-team of ares and mags + panther can still clean up ok in at least some of the subs before they end.
