open vowels + k/g is the same sound only one is voiced and one is not = they look the same when they're articulated (without audio) and if someone is saying Monica, you could lip read something entirely different, i'd imagine

Well, something about the quoted exchange suggests faux-naif whitester ostentatiously asking what it means - which from a lifetime of encounters with ''just askin'! ;)'' internet trolls suggests a person trying to get to ''so, it's not racist if they call each other that, eh?'' etc etc. Can't guess at the intentions of the person screen-grabbing and sharing, except to increase the internet's pixel density in general.

I'm placing that golden age above as around 1984 as opposed to my 1978. You got 20 sweets in a 10p mixture in my day, as long as they were Black Jacks or Mojos.
Also we didn't get "grounded", we got "kept in" or more often "beaten" so I think this is after the corporal punishment became frowned upon, if not illegal.
