I realised I was a bit out of touch when I picked up a TV for free off the street and plugged the RF cable into the back that I presume is connected from my wall to an aerial on the roof, only to remember that they don't even broadcast analog TV any more.

tbh I'd forgotten about that as well, and we've had a TV the whole time, but we have no analog aerial in our flat, just a Sky dish.

Occurred to me the other day that "I don't even OWN a microwave! It would just sit in the corner of the kitchen doing nothing!" has now superseded IDEOATV! as a signifier of bourgie smuggery among some of my acquaintances.

Most new TVs are digital ready so you can just plug in the rf rabbit ears and get HD broadcast. Best HD around! Better quality than most cable or satellite
