I'd put 2** wolvie in b-tier, gsbw in a-tier. lazy cap and psylocke might be a-tier but they're really underwhelming in my experience, and might fall down to b-tier. and i'd take rags or loki or daken over cstorm any day.

still think IW is pretty useless.

daredevil is terrible to play using but can be a pain as an opponent if you're not careful to take him out. especially paired with goons he can be rough.

I seem to be alone in hating 2* Wolvie so much. He only has one good ability (red), and there's a ton of 3* characters that outclass it. I can see GSBW being higher -- I never got enough covers to use her properly.

Lazy Cap's red is just insane damage, and if you get the tile back it only costs 1 AP. His other abilities are weak. Psylocke's red and black attacks work in sync with each other and deliver a ton of damage; her blue sucks, never use it.

I used Loki quite a bit actually, since he goes well with Patch. But Black Panther has a much better black ability -- why mess with tiles when you can just instant kill the entire team? Daken used to be better, but they nerfed the strike damage recently. CSection's amazing blue and her synergy with Magnowto are why I liked her, although their low health means I only used them in events.

I enjoyed playing as Daredevil despite him sucking. Taint shot was just hilarious whenever it happened (rarely). Playing against him you just had to counterpick him with Daken, Storm, or one of the many other tile-destroying/overwriting characters.

his red is amazing for a 2*. his green is still pretty solid, and his yellow can occasionally pay off though of course its not nearly the workhorse it once was.

lazy cap's red is good no doubt, but he's easy to manage as an opponent and his other abilities are terrible. my problem with psylocke is that her black is inferior to pun's and her red only tosses out one strike tile so its too fragile and it also has a high startup cost. i only have here at 102 though, so at higher levels she might start to impress..

loki i like his purple -- i'm a big fan of board shakeup/control abilities, and this is also why i'm not keen on psylocke -- compared to pun she leaves the board intact, this losing possibilities for enemy tile destruction, cascades, etc.

Agree w/ wat's assessment of 2* Wolvie -- I've lately left him out because I'm seeing the usefulness of 2* Thor, though that's mostly because Thor offers 3 active, damage-dealing abilities, but I think Wolvie synergizes well with OBW obviously. He's definitely one of my go-tos when I go up against someone I want to take down in one turn (Daken, Hulk, etc.) or when I'm inclined to avoid making green matches (Daken).

Ugh, Lazy Cap. Last night in the Hard Simulator, my 2* Thor was playing heads up against him, I had 2000+ health left while he had 1000... but he still had one yellow protect tile out there, and my AP situation wasn't great. All my tile matches of course went for 1 HP, and he steadily wore me down till he got enough red to clobber me with his his Ultimate Frisbee toss. Game over, so many grrrs.

HATE playing against Loki. Throw him on the SUCK MY DICK pile with that Illusion rearrangement bollocks.

Wondering if I should drop the 70K ISO on M Hawkeye -- seems like he'd come in handy for some of the Hard Simulator missions?

i got pun from the the simulator and he's just gonna be taking up a roster spot for a long time without any usage, sort of want to drop him, same with invisible woman and xforce wolvie, maybe patch. all of these guys. i've probably sold off like 50 jugs and venoms and hawkeyes, i could have a decent secondary party instead of waiting on all these 3*s and 4*s

o lol i also have a grey suit widow hanging around waiting for a spot, and a classic mags, and 0 HP. this is silly.

Patch and Pun are both amazing. It's unlikely that Pun will ever get nerfed, so I'd keep him at least. Invisible Woman isn't worth it -- if you aren't a collector go ahead and sell her. XF Wolvie is due for an upgrade but it's at least a month away.

I think it's OK to spend $2 or $5 on Hero Points once. Early in the game, it means a few extra slots and less worry.

you will never want jugs and venom and hawkeye but pun is a workhorse.

lol, sold some and recruited pun/grey suit widow cause i had 2/i think a 2* wolvie cause i had like 5 of them and sold all 78 of my remaining covers including a cmags and some other good stuff cause i figured i wasn't gonna go from 0 to 500 HP in a week, and now i'm probably gonna have 500 by the end of tomorrow

it's so much easier to just hit sell all tho, and at least i got to level storm from 6 to 77 in a day

Don't redeem tokens till you have roster space! Resist the urge to cash them in immediately!

Forgot to mention that I got the black Pun from the Simulator, so now mine is 3/1/3! Approaching usability!

This game has a unique way of remaining compelling, while still being extremely disappointing. Good job game.

Playing until the 10 pack then I think I'm done - been grinding since the Panther tourney started and struggled to get to 300. I'll be in a fight with 141s for 14 points and be hit for 30 while it's going on. That's no fun.

Damn -- are the only fights you have available to you worth 14 points? You should almost always fight against people who give you at lease 25 points.

Every PVP match now is a team that is better than my team, no matter how many times I skip. Very frustrating.

Tanking helps though it's boring

Yeah, same thing happens to me. I just thought it was because I'd improved enough to get into a new bracket. My Simulation-situation has been dumb as well, have never been under top hundred, and was in top fifty in three out of the first four, and yet I couldn't crack top 300 in acumulation. Which is weird and frustrating and I'll get nothing out of it.

Yeah I haven't been able to place in the top 50 anymore, and like aldo once I get my 10-pack I'm taking a break from this stupid game.

Toying with burning all my HP on covers just for the vicarious thrill, and to incentivise me to quit. I'm about 800 from the 10 pack reward so 2 more tourneys I guess.

Mags classy on a standard pull. Hoorah.

Do-over on that Hood/Maggia set of story missions, with Lazy (Mohawk!) Storm as a reward. Too bad they didn't go with '80s cover art.

simulator let me max my panther to 5/3/5 141 -- my first 141. missed the patch thing entirely basically, so probably won't place well in season II. my simulator token also gave me a yellow sentry -- so he's at 30 now, not that i see using him any time soon.

he's buffed in the Maggia missions, so at least you can use him in that

buffed sentry is still terrible. need more covers to lessen the self/team damage of his abilities.

yeah I don't see how he's gonna be good. I guess red is supposed to be good? I hate offense that hurts my team b/c it just means more health packs, ugh. still wish they'd let me buy a heal speedup for $5, or even $10 if it were a super fast speedup.

i have about 70k iso saved up and i'm getting a little itchy. would there be any benefit to maxing mag now when i've already maxed both storms, obw, **wolv, thor now, and ares? i guess it would be nice to have an obw alternative. the highest number of covers i have for any one *** is four for hood.

3-5-5 maxed MagNow is great, esp with OBW, CStorm, Spidey or really anyone who uses blue for a significant power, plus his red can act as a great auxiliary color battery depending on placement and a cascade initiator.

with the spidey nerf, magnow/spidey is way less fun. the obw combo is still pretty neat. his red is killer tho.

boosted maxed panther + patch is way fun. race to 12 black, 7 green, then fire off patch into a rage of the panther, and just level the whole opposing team.

thick as thieves is so boring after the simulator.

Still wondering when this game will stop being Thor Puzzle Quest. The monotony kills my enthusiasm for it more than anything.

In the Season II Simulator, I'm suddenly running all those 141 Hulks

I have no idea how - I've noticed for a while that the opposing team seem to have a bit of stockpiling at the start, and seen them fire off attacks that I was sure they hadn't collected the AP for but this was just totally blatant,

IW from my heroic on the Sentry tourney, although since I'm 250 from the 10 pack I'll be finished with the game by the weekend.

Ok, I'm done with this fucking game. Got the 10-pack, all two-stars. 10,7% chance for that. One I could use - my Thor is respecked. This game is basically all about luck, where if you're lucky you get a tiny tiny cookie, and if you're unlucky you waste hours grinding without anything to show for it. Fuck this game forever.

yeah I just like the match 3 mechanic for a few plays per day, and have been happily playing them without the sense of progression that MPQ can give when things are going well. so when this one isn't providing that sense, it's still more or less just as enjoyable to me qua game mechanic: click click click, get some matches, etc. it could never be a consuming game for me, but I don't want consuming games at this point in my life. ffs I still play Tiny Tower.

You're doing in right... There is no sense of progression in this fucking game, just grind grind grind, get another Juggernaut-cover.

I got my 10 pack about the same time as you, all 2* as well. Bought one of each card from the sales, XForce, Fat Thor and Patch. Feels to me like the 'luck' has changed to those buying HP. Going to blast through the rest of my HP and ISO buying cards, laugh at how imbalanced the results are, then delete the app. The constant connection factor means even as a dumb match 3 there are limitations on when you can play it, so it doesn't work for me in that respect either.

Euler has the right attitude. Once I stopped trying to compete in PVP the game becomes fun again
