I was going to quit today but I got a Falcon on a heroic pull and a Storm Mohawk on a standard pull. It's like the game knew.

On back to back pulls, I might add.

I got two Puns from the Daredevil tourney, but I'm already 141, bleh. could respec to 4-5-4, aiming toward 3-5-5, or could stay at 5-5-3. not sure how much I care to have the red at 5. reason in favor of respec: I have Psylocke at 5 black and at 128, and BP at 3 black and max 128. for both black is their strongest color so if I run with Pun + either of them I'll want black to go to them rather than Pun. not sure

I would never use Pun and Psy on the same team. They're too similar.

yeah but you go with the 141s you have, not the ones you want or wish to have at a later date

Sold IM40 at level 106 so I could start a new one with 2 yellow -- I was never using him. Pun, DD and Loki cover maxed.

Daredevil is kind of the Bag-man of the 3* characters. So bad! But fun when he does something! Does OK as a third with Thor and Hood.

ran the DD tourney w/ cmags and panther, so never even fired off a DD power since cmags has a total overlap and his powers are all better.

off to a slow start in the PVE but it looks like my bracket is flagging a bit so I'm starting to stay in the top 100 consistently.

not sure who to level next. just been tossing my ISO here and there to whoever is up in each tourney, since I have a good "core team" at the moment.

with the healing change i might switch it up to push a few more folks into the 140 range.

punisher, hulk, and gsbw are good candidates in that regard -- all covermaxed but not fully leveled.

other *** with some leveling available (not necessarily to 141, but to over 100 at least) are doom, iron man, human torch, hood, daredevil

Yeah it is making me lose interest pretty fast.

The main thing I've learned is that you should use BW's healing as soon as you have access to it, basically, to avoid lasting damage. Before I was holding off as long as was reasonable, but that strategy is dead now.

My X-Force Wolvie is now at 138, but still seems less useful than NOW Magneto or NOW Thor

he is useless at any level.

I'm thinking that I might use Loki and Bagman in every PVP event for a while, see how far I can get

Well aldo, a funny thing about regret is blah blah mom blah SATAN.

I wont get the ten-pack because of traveling. And the next ten-pack I probably wont get as well because of more traveling. Yay.

Actually, I've come to terms with the fact that this simply isn't a game I want to compete in, and I'm okay with playing just a few matches a day, and hoping to get some two-star tokens. Every once in a while getting a three-star character!

I'm appalled that they've added so few new ways to use their basic mechanic: it's still all just three against three, in what are now standard set-ups: the simulator, heroic Juggs tourney, the Hunt, etc. and they make good characters worse without making bad characters better. it's a very low energy game, development wise.

I still enjoy it though; being part of an active alliance helps since every couple of days I get at least one more three star cover. I aim for 300-500 points in pvp and a good showing in pve, nothing more. I'm one of the lesser players in my alliance but I'm steady enough that they keep me; and the rewards are pretty nice.

I may get one 3 star a month.

I don't remember the last time the ILX alliance got a 3* reward. We have fallen so far.

Getting a three-star cover is a rare occurrence for me. Most of my high-level 3-star characters haven't budged in months, mostly around 5-8 total covers. I've long since maxed all of the worthwhile 2-star characters, so new covers just get sold off. Stagnation is boring. Playing 20-30 minutes a day just doesn't cut it, I guess.

I'll do the grind. I LOVE the grind. But the grind has to have some payoff.

I uh may regret asking this, but how many open slots does your traitor's alliance have?

none hehe; you'd have to inquire; but we've been booting people who don't pull their weight so new spots open with some frequency

Man, I REALLY need some *** covers for existing characters in my lineup. I have 30 slots, 140k iso, and not a single character I can level.

Kind of digging the true heal modification now. It seems like PvP rewards are now more attainable with less grinding.

Euler, can you let me know if your alliance gets another open slot? I'd feel bad about jumping off ILX-Factor, but it seems like half the people in the alliance aren't playing anyways.

I basically only play PvE now. IMO, Pvp sucks too much with the new healing.

omg I dreamed last night that I was playing this again. D:

If I can distribute dmg correctly, I can make an Ares/OBW pairing last a ridiculously long time:

- let Ares take about the same amount of dmg caused by Sunder
- OBW heal
- Sunder
- protect the yellow tile and try distributing dmg across OBW and the other character for three turns
- Ares heals back up to almost full

rinse, repeat

Also I can't believe I spent so much time avoiding Ares' green because it granted green to the opposing team.

Ares is the best two star

he really is, that green attack is devastating as long as you aren't dumb about it
